Beginner with 3 down in 2 weeks

I had my first Lucid Dream last week without realizing what it was. I was sitting in some hallway talking to some girl who was sitting in a dark booth so as I couldn't see her face. As I continued to talk to her in the dream I felt the strong urge to pull her out so I could see what she looked like, and all of a sudden it was like a switch was turned on and I was totally aware of myself in the dream. I knew that I was me, and that everything around me was a dream. So I yanked the girl out and she looked at me with pure horror as if I wasn't supposed to do that...and then I woke up.

I found it so fascinating that I looked it up on the internet, "Controlling Your Dreams", and found this site.

Since then I've told myself each night that "I will have a lucid dream tonite" over and over until I fall asleep, and since then I've had 2 more. I must say they are crazy!

Wow...are you sure you're not a natural? Apparently the whole "voice command" thing doesn't work, b/c last night "I was going to have a lucid dream" and I had a normal dream about my step-mom being a tyrant...

Reality will never lose out to LDs. Reality is long-term beauty. LDs are short-term fun. There's a difference.

Congrats! So had you ever had experiences with controlling your dreams in the past? You definitely sound like a natural. I got started on the whole Lucid Dreaming thing when I started talking with my friend about how we could control our dreams occasionally, so I started searching for information on dream control and found this site. Turns out that the lucid dreams I had been having naturally were nothing compared to what I could do. My controls improved TONS now that I've learned some techniques from this site, and I'm also able to control more aspects of my dream (before I had little, if any control over the setting, since I didn't know that I could change it.). Just make sure you stay here at the site, you'll find it's invaluable for helping with LD'ing!
