Dreaming about what you thought about your experience

Has anybody ever thought about something or someone or something they wanted to do in a dream, and then they almost immediately went to sleep and actually had a lucid dream about what they just thought about? I just did that this morning after earlier that morning after i had a lucid. I started taking sleeping pills, and every time i have taken them although i didn't take any last night but when i do take them, i have had a lucid dream. But one thing though, when i go to bed at around 11 or 12, or later i wake up around 5 i hardly ever have dreams during those times. My dreams usually come starting around 6 am, the best time for me to lucid is very very early am sometimes, especially if i go to bed early like at 11pm. The person i thought about appeared immediately in my and we were having fun. Oh yeah if you did experience this, could you say how you were able to dream of what you wanted to dream about?

I've done this before too, just not on purpose. I think it has something to do with a certain topic being fresh on the mind, so the mind dreams about it. I didn't become lucid with it though... For example, just last night, my friend was thinking about a perfect christmas, and then it happened in her dream.

I'm not sure what to do with the sleeping pills, since I have no experience with them.
      Bollocks.

I've done this several times, usually by accident. Lately I've been LDing about cabinet making, since it has been on my mind.

However, I sometimes do this on purpose. I prefer to do it when I awake during the night, since I don't have to wait much before I fall back asleep. If I awake from a dream I just DEILD and use a visualization or other sensory idea to put me into the situation I want. If I wake and haven't just had a dream I do what I like to call a IRLD (Intentional Return LD). When I awake I think back to a dream I had but want to return to OR I think about a past dream, but with aspects of what I'm after. I fix that idea, that intention to either return to the past dream as it was or to return to a past dream with specific changes in my mind. Then i just go to sleep knowing that the next dream I have will be then one I chose. Usually works.
