      1st Lucid!

So I took 3mg Melatonin and 200mg LTheanine last night at 9:45, was in bed by 10:10, tried Sleep Paralysis till 10:25, then was finally out by 10:45.

I woke up from my alarm at 3:40, recorded my dream, then got up and got a small glass of water. I read the WBTB tutorial on this site, then tried Sleep Paralysis (WILD) one more time to no avail. I've been doing RCs through all this time. Finally I just told myself I'd stop trying to focus and just let my mind wander back to sleep and pray that I'd get lucid.

My dream started (or at least the part I recall) I was sitting in my friend's apartment and music was playing. I felt like it was night time so I tried to turn the stereo down but it wouldn't work. I don't remember becoming aware specifically because of this, but immediately after I remember realizing that I was in a dream! It was so cool, and I could actually control it. My problem has always just been being aware in my dream enough to do Reality Checks. Anyways, the dream was really boring aside from the sensation. I was just in the hallway by the stereo staring at my friend, and I wanted to leave because nothing was going on, so I floated through the floor, but it was just a dark abyss. It felt like the dream lasted about 30 seconds when it happened, but in reality it could have only been about 10. This was technically a WBTB, but it was also a DILD.

This next part is funny... my next dream I was driving down a street in my town, and I took a glance at my hand to see if an "A" was there (A reality check I do). There was an "A", but there was also alot of other writing. I remember thinking to myself "oh, I must be awake, because an "A" is there". How funny is that! I did the check, it was different than real life, but just because an "A" was in the chicken scratch I thought I was awake. This one could have been cool too.

I really liked the feeling, I want to learn how to be more consistent. I hope that someday I don't need to do a WBTB to become lucid. Still, I'm glad that I got one down! It took me about 2 and a half weeks.
