      Violent lucids yet feeling no pain

      Last night i had this lucid and i was with some people in my old house, and they were talking about gangs. And all of a sudden gang members appeared outside of the house shooting through the house, so i went to another part of the house which was the dinning room, and the doorbell rang, so, i went into the kitchen and looked through the window and there was this guy with a big gun. I didn't open the door, so, then he started shooting through the window at me, i kind of felt the bullets in my body and i kind of felt holes in my body but they didn't hurt. Then after a while of dreaming i said to the guy, "This is a dream!" Then the dream ended all of a sudden. Has anybody elese not feel pain in dreams when they were stabbed or shot at? I'm invisible in my dreams.

      It varies for me. Sometimes I feel pain and sometimes I don't.

      Same, sometimes pain sometimes no. I got lucid once because I was being shot and it felt like I was being pelted by bouncy balls (as I flew through the air around my dorm ). I had a dream a couple of nights ago that a gas tank blew up and I was hit by shrapnel, and it hurt a lot I tend not to feel injured, though, but I also don't get injured a lot in my dreams.

      Yeah that's what the bullets felt like to me, like bouncy balls but i could feel holes in my shirt.

      Yea, it was really funny because in the dream where the thing exploded my brother and sister were there asking if I was ok and I was like "Yea, why?" and they pointed to my arm and I turned it to look and saw the wounds, and that's when they started to hurt (go figure ) and I was like "Oh wow, it's just like when X hurt her foot and it didn't hurt until she looked at it!" which is something that really did happen in RL. So I explained my way through that one without questioning why such a bad wound hadn't hurt and didn't hurt more

      You only feel pain in dreams if you stop to pay attention to your wounds. If there is something more pressing to distract your attention, you don't feel a thing.

      Not always true. This was a non-lucid anyways, so it's not like I could distract myself, and I have felt pain without paying attention to wounds or even having wounds. In lucids, I'll feel the pain even without paying attention or seeing a wound, but it will go away if I truly distract myself.

      Yes!!! The night before last a DC stabbed a metal letter opener into my eye! Luckily I didn't feel a thing but it was quite disconcerting having it sticking out of my eyeball!

      I think what snuggle means is
      invisible = can't be seen
      invincible = can't be injured/killed
      inviscible = not a word

      In my ( I think 4th) lucid dream, I was getting attacked by by little dinosaurs (from the video game King Kong). When they were attacking me I felt no pain. But I did see red this in my eyesight.

      I've NEVER felt pain in any of my dreams. Once I felt cold, and when I'm swimming (quite often) I never feel wet. Sure, someone may be shooting at me, but, they'd never shoot right at me.
      If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

      The dreams in which I get physically injured feel VERY intense. One night I dreamed of an doctor who gave me shots in a very brutal way, so brutal that I felt blood coming out of my mouth. Another example was when I dreamed that I was the guy with the ability to control fire from X-men. I was tied on a chair and the bad guys were doing a test on me which involved getting "minor" headaches. The pain was not so... minor, because it felt so real that I started believing truly that what's happening in the dream is real. Pain in a LD is somehow more vivid then in a normal dream, because when I thrusted my finger through my hand the pain was so much that I lost lucidity. Strange that other feelings are rare for me.

      hmm, from what I've read, its possible that you had something equating a real headache in RL. What I mean is that there are accounts of people feeling pain in a dream from getting their hand wounded, however, when they woke up, they noticed that they were sleeping on their hand

      I remember once I had a dream that I was shot in chest at point blank range with a shotgun and I went flying backwards and smashed into a wall and the pain came from breathing. It was like I was the bad guy in a movie who had finally been defeated, I just sat there and looked down at my white shirt which had been ripped open and was covered in blood and every time I took a breath my chest really hurt. It was horrible. I can, however, think of one dream where I was freefalling to the ground and I hit the ground but it didn't hurt, I think I just kind of landed and laid on my front.
