Wow, I haven't been lucid for a while, but that TOTALLY inspired me to try again tonight! |

This morning I had one of the most incredible lucid experiences ever. Sorry this post is long, hopefully you will find my experience interesting. There is actually one question in there, and also a great suggestion for you to try... |

Glad to hear, kichu! Thanks for taking the time to read it. Honestly, I can't believe how profoundly affected I have been today from that dream. It's totally trippy! |
|
I remember one lucid, and actually.....right now I have NO idea what it was about...but I DO remember the nexy day just being so completely exhilerated from my LD. I wanted to run up to everyone and start talking about it, and it was driving me INSANE that everyone I know wasn't interested in LD'ing, or even knew what it is! But I was just over the moon about it. I know nothing in particular had happened in the dream, no particular feeling.....but I just felt like I was on top of the goddamn world. I will NEVER forget it. And for no reason other than - I was lucid in a dream! So crazy. |
|
I think for me it was the combination of being lucid, achieving some goals and flying to that music. I totally recommend you listen to it. It is sooooooo beautiful, and Hayley's voice is phenomenal. As you listen to the music, imagine flying to it! It was out of this world! |

The music is not my cup of tea. But your dream sounds pretty awesome sounds like you had a really really good time. And the fact that this feeling carried over even into your waking life for a few hours is quite the bonus. |

WOW DreamQueen! Thats incredible that you had that amazing LD. Im glad that you actually remembered to take it all in b/c a lot of times when Im lucid, Im focusing a lot of my energy towards staying lucid and not waking up that I forget to do a lot of my goals that I set out. There was a lot of detail in that dream too, that's when you know its a good vivid one. |
|
Yeah, it's not exactly the sort of music I can imagine guys thrashing on their car stereos lol but it was just so uplifting to fly to! Thanks for your advice |
|
That sounded like an awesome lucid dream. =D |
|
Wow!!!!! I have just been reading about how it is possible to experience unusually powerful positive emotions in lucid dreams. I did not know this before I had my dream but I can certainly vouch for it now! |
|
Wow cool stuff! |

I discovered LDing naturally about twenty years ago but unfortunately back then without such tools as internet communication I didn't discover that they could be deliberately induced and so I didn't have them all that often - maybe once a year, if that. I didn't even know what they were called until March this year when I had a really amazing one. I happened to mention what I had experienced on a completely unrelated forum and someone told me it was called Lucid Dreaming. I googled it and found this site! |
|
Even if my LD lastes only 5 seconds it fills my heart with glad and keeps me motivated whole day. The mere realization. |

Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.
Congrats on such an awesome dream. I always find that my LDs that have melodies or music in them reward me with a "super happy" feeling for hours after ward. |

I agree that LD's really have a way of making your day seem to much better. One of my clearer ones left me so happy I didn't even care about going to church, which is saying something |

DreamQueen, that's a really inspiring post, thanks for sharing. |

I'm not sure what the first question means exactly. All I know is even if I won a million dollars in a lottery I couldn't have felt more elated than I did on the morning following that LD. It was pure joy. |
|
I meant (with the first question), were you more clear headed than normal? Like you were 'above' any irritations etc. |
|
omg yes I was more clear headed than normal that day! I've just looked back in my diary at which surgeon I was working with that day and I remember being really onto it during the surgery! Funny you should ask! |
|
sounds like an amazing LD! I've only had 3 myself, but what I NEED to do in my next one (hopefully tonight *crosses fingers*) is to do what you did: just STOP and take everything in. In my previous LDs, everything has felt very rushed and sort of like I'm immediately jumping from doing one thing to the next very rashly, without any real thought. By the sounds of it, stopping should help me be a little more logical and rational, stop me from being distracted by my subconscious, and increase dream clarity to boot (never a bad thing). Anyway, thanks for sharing, it was an interesting read, and I hope you get another LD soon! |

LD count:4
LD goals: Fly [ ]
Swing like spiderman [ ]
Write an amazing song and remember it for real [ ]
Explore other planets [ ]
Summon my dream guide [ ]
Find out something really deep about myself [ ]
Hey there Madmax100! I find it useful to stick to just one or two simple goals at a time. That way when I get lucid I'm not in a panic to try and achieve a whole load of activities or getting into a muddle while I try to decide what to do. I'm just calmly focused on one thing at a time. |
