      I did it!

      About damn time too lol.

On days like today, I set my alarm for my 8:30 am class, but never end up going. Instead, I hit the snooze button for a couple of hours (9 minute snooze intervals). Whenever I do this, I come in and out of dreaming very quickly, and I know that as I go back to sleep I'll fall right into another dream. Usually, I tell myself that I'm about to dream again, so I should be able to attain lucidity. Well, this morning it happened.

I had apparently just gotten off of a boat onto the dock at a beautiful tropical island. I turned around and saw a guy that looked like a native, and suddenly realized it was a dream. There was no excitement to the revelation, only a sense that it just was. The same instant I realized that I was lucid, an old World War II-era fighter plane flew straight over my head. Of course, I decided to take off after it, because flying is the first thing I wanted to do. I took off running and then jumped as high and as far as I could, and I was soaring right behind the fighter plane. I caught up and grabbed onto the rear, and started controlling it by turning to the side. After a few seconds, its wing hit a crane or something like that and it crashed. I kept on flying through though.

I don't know exactly what they were, but I saw two big box-like shapes in the air, so I flew up to and hit both of them, sending them flying towards the crane mentioned earlier. I decided to try a Dragonball Z-like instant transmission move, and was suddenly next to the crane, watching the boxes coming towards me. I grabbed the crane arm, and hit the boxes like they were baseballs.

That's about where I lost lucidity. The dream continued, but by then it had faded back to non-lucid detail and I don't remember any of it. The moment I achieved lucidity was the most realistic and vibrant. All of the colors around me were amazing, and I could feel my body running and flying. Next time, I'll slow down and take the time to really test out the level of detail my brain can conjure up.

      Thanks for reading!

Sounds like a pretty fun dream. Yeah, the whole snooze button technique works really well, you can keep having mulitple LDs until you're not tired anymore.
