I will admit, while i find superpowers and using lucid dreams for virtual porn very (extremely) enjoyable, my most memorable and amazing lucid dreams have been the ones where I have gone off to explore my surroundings and discovered some pretty amazing dreamscapes. Some of the places i've seen leave me in awe that my mind can even generate something so weird and profound. Some of the places I've witnessed:
1) Looking down from the top of an impossibly high vertical cliff, I saw a series of tropical archipelagos covered in bright florescent vegetation. Huge beetle like creatures were moving very slowly grazing on the plants. Each one was about the size of a city block.
2) I came across an abandoned native american village deep in the woods. While I got the feeling that no one had been there for a very long time, it was still perfectly intact. It was very sad and solem, and left me feeling as if it was somehow outside of time.
3) Flying through a post apocalyptic city, touching down on the tops of ruined skyscrapers. All of the architecture was twisted and destroyed, while the sky was scorched black and filled with dark clouds.
4) A giant futuristic japanese style temple situated in the middle of a 19th century european countryside. I proceeded to battle nijas inside with a katana (what else could one do when confronted with such a place )
These types of scenes only seem to come to me in lucid dreams, while regular ones are usually just places I have been before. I mentioned these to a friend who is more religiously inclined and he said it was the spirit world. Not sure why these are in my mind, but it seems to challenge the traditional Freudian interpretation of dreams somewhat. So what amazing dreamscapes have you discovered in your dreams (lucid or otherwise)?
Oh and perhaps this should go in Lucid Experiences, mods feel free to move.
