      I Hovered! ...Sorta...

I had another one, thanks to my alarm clock. Too bad it wasn't set earlier, my alarm is now set for 4:30 instead of 6:00.

So I awoke at 6, not remembering any dreams I had, I haven't for about 3 days. I wonder why.

So I decide to get some water and go back to bed. The problem is I was extremely hungry but didn't feel like getting anything so it takes me nearly an hour to get to sleep. By 7:00, I am sitting on a chair in my room in the dream and I kind of wonder how I got there because i never got up. I did a nose check and I could breath. I am starting to like this feeling of knowing that your dreaming. But when I open my eyes again I feel like they are half closed, I try to open them but they re close halfway through this short lucid. I try to jump into the air and fly. I hover for a few seconds and slowly descend. This felt awesome. Then I go to my window to check if everything Is normal, and It is. This is strange to me, because most times I hear people say the outside world around your room isn't normal.

So I get up and.. don't judge me.. and try to summon a Dream Character to have Lucid Sex with... I see the girl appear but doing this makes me lose control and I wake up.

Pretty Decent experience, I want to have a lucid outside my room though, I should have opened my window to go outside but I thought the alarm would go off...

wow nice work, keep working on it!

maybe you lost control because the dream lacked vividness? maybe try to make sure you have full clarity before summoning a DC, or else you might get too aroused and wake up again

Most of my LD's begin in my room when I find myself by the bed. My main reality check is to see if I can .. hover. If I can, I know it's a dream. I then leave the room then go outside. The outside world is different everytime. That's where the real journey and real action begins. And, as you discovered, don't get to excited or you might wake up. And as you also found out, sometimes the dream can seem so mundane and ordinary that you might have a hard time believing that it's a dream, even if you can hover. Your dream experiences sound incredibly like mine, right down to the getting up in the morning then going back to bed only to wind up in Dream~World.

I've had LDs with my eyes half closed, with them completely closed but transparent.. I've even had LDs where there was a pillow stuck to the side of my head.
The ultimate trick to flying, and don't let anyone tell you differently, is to KNOW that you can.
The rules of physics in a dream are defined by your mind. If you think you might be able to fly, that is EXACTLY TRUE.. You might be able to fly.
The only sure way to fly the way you want is to just expect it to happen, with no thoughts at all that it might not happen.
I learned this while passing through a wall one day. Halfway through the wall I suddenly wondered "What if I get stuck?" and then I was stuck.
No matter how hard I tried, I found that the only way I could pass through the wall was by letting go of any doubt, and just expecting the wall to become liquid.
In my non-lucid dreams I can still fly, and I forget that there is a world that exists where I can't.
If you prepare yourself to the point where if you don't fly you will actually be surprised and confused, you will do fine.

      Thanks for the replies.

      I have some questions:

I remember before waking up that I had a thought about the girl from the ring (which actually caused the Make a Dc idea ) and I was wondering if just thinking about anything will make it happen or if you have to really believe it will.

About going outside. Yeah I was planning on doing that, but when I looked outside It was so real I couldn't tell anymore. Well I knew I was dreaming but I didn't want the alarm to go off so I just decided not to. Why I didn't go out of my room I am not sure.

For my next Lucid I am thinking of waking up in my room like usual, believing that outside there will be a "How to Fly" training camp and go to it so that I can well, Learn to fly.

And remember, if that "learn to fly" training camp doesn't immediately appear,
tell any dream character to show you where it is. A lot of folks have had good results telling DC's to do their bidding. That works for me every time. And also remember, you can simply jump out of the window and see what happens. Preferably you live 20 floors up. I bet you'd figure out a way to fly then in a hurry.

Sometimes, thinking of something will make it appear. The imagination has a STRONG influence on dream reality.
No matter what, your conviction, whether conscious or not, does have the largest impact on whether you can affect something.

Ok, I need to learn to control my thoughts it seems. I think about some crazy shit during the day.

Today Update: No lucid. But I did have this long immensely detailed dream with an amazing plot that I could have wrote a book about. But I woke and and forgot all the details except for a few fragments.
