      First real lucid experience

I'd been lucid a few times before this, but it'd never lasted more than a couple seconds, so I'd never known what it felt like to actually walk around and do stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't get to do anything overly awesome, but at least I did something this time.

I was in some type of game room or arcade in what felt like a hotel. The ceilings were high and the walls had this hint of pastel orange to them that didn't look good. Anyway, a couple of my friends were there, and so was my little brother, and we messed around and played games for a bit.
      (time gap)
I'm in some really wide hallway in what feels like the basement of that same place. It has the same walls and carpet of the game room, and there is a long counter running down the left side. I walk over to it with my little brother. My friends are gone. There are these pyramids of green balls on the counter, and I start telling my brother about lucid dreaming. I tell him that if you grab one of these green balls and carry it with you in a dream, you become lucid. I also add that you only need one, but the more you take, the more vivid your dream gets. So I take one and walk off, leaving him standing there. As I'm walking, I keep looking at the ball in my hand, and all of a sudden it clicks, I realize that that isn't how you really become lucid, and I realize I'm dreaming. I keep walking down the hall, and I see these two housekeeping ladies putting laundry into carts. I say hi to one of them and she just glares at me. I walk up a narrow staircase and start doing the stabilization techniques in the middle of the stairs. I rub my hands, but that doesn't do much. I slowly spin a couple times. The staircase is really narrow, and spinning does do something. The walls are close on either side of me, and everything gets really vivid. I can literally see air bubbles in the paint! I finish walking up the stairs and I'm at the game room again.

Now, I have a false awakening which turns into a dream where I can't find my dream journal and end up in my English classroom where my teacher gives me some ultimatum, I have to do something and he'll give me my dream journal back. I forget what I had to do, but I accept, and when I get back my dream journal, the pages are half ripped out and colored on with marker.

Well, I wish it would have lasted longer, but the lucid dream was great. I did a WBTB combined with a MILD. At first, when I woke up at 4:00, I was frustrated because I couldn't remember my dreams. So I just went back to bed chanting to myself, "I will be aware that I am dreaming." over and over again in my head.
