My very first time, but unsatisfied

Been on the forum for a while, 2 weeks or so, although this is my first post.
Something bothers me, i hope you people can help me.

If had my first LD like.. 2 days ago. I can recall my dream like it was 10 minutes ago. To bad there isnt anything to remember. The dream ONLY existed out of thoughts, not one visual thing to see. Everything was black, blurry and hazy. I felt myself flying ( I tried, yes ) but i couldnt see anything. I was overwhelmed with happiness when i woke up, but truelly, i cant wait to get a vivid one.

Is it normal that you actually get a black blurryness dream, as first one? or am i doomed to eternal blurryness ?

Greets, and hopefullly ill get some help

My first lucid dream was pretty vivid, but once in a while I will have one that is very blurry or very dark. It's probably just chance that yours was a blurry one. Sometimes if everything seems hazy I will stop, look around, and just take everything in; it seems to increase the vividness.

Also, it may have something to do with your induction technique. I'm sure it's different for different people, but I've only had one DILD that was kind of dark, but quite a few of my WILDs were blurry or dark. When I first started having WILDs this happened a lot. Sometimes they start off blurry and then turn vivid.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Looking back on it, I've had so many drastically different lucid dreams; many were satisfying and some not. It's only a matter of time before you have your first satisfying one.

A lot of my WILDs start off completely dark, a good thing to do is try spinning yourself to another place and increasing your awareness (focus on all 5 senses) to make it more vivid. Rubbing your hands together and saying something like "crystal clear" has also made things very sharp in my dreams when they were blurry.

To answer your question...People's first Lucid Dream's, depends on the person. Every single person's first lucid dream is different. Your First One, to you, wasn't that great. Does it mean you are going to be doomed to eternal blurryness, no!

Through time, the more and more you practice this, the more and more you get better.. There have been people that have been doing this for a while, even myself, that will tell you, each Lucid Dream is different. I myself took a break from Lucid Dreaming for a while, and had one every now and then--when i use to TRY to have them, i was having them on a everyday basis---but now, when i am just starting up again, my Lucid Dreams are nothing more then a couple seconds... But Just Like You, If I were to keep at it, I would get back to where i use to be in no time......see what i am saying.... Just hang in there
