Thread: WTH!!! Tickled out of lucid???

Hey, I'm brand new to lucid dreaming and have only had 1 really high quality lucid dream that was not fuzzy and unrealistic. So I get pumped and try to stay calm as I've heard. I give flying a try but since the world seemed so incredibly more realistic than my previous 3-4 blurry lucids, my brain wouldn't let me. So, I run up to my room to see if jumping out my window would produce something worth doing.
When I get up there I see my Dad and Brother standing there and they spontaneously pin my arms/legs down and start to tickle me. I couldn't do anything cause I (currently) suck at dream control and it just seemed so real!!! Now let's get something straight, I HATE being tickled. Not like you hate that TV show that's on at 5 P.M. on Fox, but I HATE IT!!!! It's LITERALLY a form of torture for me, I can't stand it. So after like 15 seconds I woke up laughing hysterically alone in my bed and frustrated as hell... Anything like this ever happen to someone on their first few lucids???? Not necessarily being tickled but just something they really hated being forced upon them???

In my first lucid, I had a chainsaw forced upon my gut when I was on my way to a special girl's house, and it woke me up. I hate chainsaws protruding from my abdomen.

lol, sorry but the way you type it, that was a laugh for me. "force upon" was a nice choice of words.

Anyway, back on topic. It your dream body, even with no dream control it kinda odd that you felt it. Just remember that you have no nerves and you can't feel pain unless you want to.

I kill myself in my first two LD for better recall. In both I did not feel any pain.

Yeah, you only felt it because you expected you would. Next time, tell yourself that nothing can hurt you (or in this case, tickle) and it won't. Make sure you stabilize once you are lucid.

In paintball, I can understand but you if can't stop yourself from feeling pain then there always a choice of killing your DC or try "wishing" them away if you hate being tickled that badly.

I hate being tickled as well.
Haven't had a lucid but i think i've had HI's where i was being tickled and I would end up laughing.

I seem to have a pretty realistic dream body. I've paintballed in dreams and it really hurt owie, but that's kind of the point of the game anyway.... Also I've been stabbed, shot, and mutilated in dreams. They all hurt pretty bad lol My brain hates me Ah well I'll try to remember that in my next lucid. IF IT EVER HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
