I did it! Ah, it feels good.

Man I'm so proud of myself. I had my first lucid dream last night. If you're interested, this is what I recorded in my dream journal. Please don't ignore this topic (like most of my topics). I want to hear comments and pointers.

      Dream #9 (LUCID!!!)
      11-25-04
      5:48 AM

-Note: This happened earlier in the night, I just forgot to record it
      -Place - my school
      -Events
---------I had class like a normal class
---------I was just walking through the halls normally, when I decide to do a reality check
---------I think of the possibility that I'm dreaming and then I notice my school looks totally different in reality (which was a dream sign)
      ---------I become lucid
---------I keep saying to myself "I'm dreaming, this isn't real. I'm dreaming" forcing myself to stay lucid
---------When I feel that I'm about to lose lucidity, I spin around real fast, and that helped A LOT
---------I was lucid most of the dream (about 30 minutes to an hour) but there were times when I forgot
---------I started running around the school cursing off all the teachers, humping girls (I even had sexual feelings)
---------This one kid, who I never even talk to, but for some reason I hate his guts. His name is Jason. In the dream I start to punch him and he starts fighting back. Then I remembered I was lucid so I shot him in the head five times
---------My friend, John Pollard, claims that I should have more guts. He said he saw Jason beat me up, but I didn't fight back. I said "What are you talking about!? Dude, I fucking shot him and killed him!" (Note: I wasn't 100% lucid during this part)
---------So I say to John, "Walk up those stairs and then open the door"
---------As I walk up the stairs with John, I say to myself "Ok this is a dream - remember... when John opens that door, there will be a dead body right in front of his eyes". And sure enough, when John opened the door, he saw Jason.. bleeding from the skull.
---------I start to lose lucidity (later in the dream) and then I start to panic because I'll get in serious trouble for killing a somebody! I call my mom to come pick me up at the school
---------While waiting for my mom to pick me, I talk to this girl, April. (April is good friends with me - she's Jason's brother haha) and I start to feel bad for killing her brother

Congrats dude - felt good, and still does, eh

Good Shouting out something like 'CLARITY NOW' also works pretty well
As well as looking at your hands and running them along rough surfaces

I was lucid most of the dream (about 30 minutes to an hour) but there were times when I forgot[/b]
That happens to me too - esp when you are :
      ...
running around the school cursing off all the teachers, humping girls (I even had sexual feelings)[/b]
That must be the most dangerous thing in a dream - a lucid virgin deflowering himself

I start to feel bad for killing her brother[/b]
Stuff like this, is what makes me avoid killing things, unless they're nightmare creatures or something.
Besides, you *might* be affecting your own inhibitions (or lack of) for killing things

      Hey thanks for the feedback!

Next time I'm lucid I will try those methods like shouting "CLARITY NOW" and rubbing my hands against a rough surface.

Is it bad of me to kill people in my dreams? Haha. I kind of want to.

Well, that was just my opinion.
I know lots of us love to go around murdering people in their dreams ... hard to say if its 'bad'

That makes me feel a little bit better about killing people in my dreams. I really want to. Next time I'm lucid I'm going to go on a killing rampage.

(Don't worry, I'm nothing like this and show no signs of me being a killer in real life)

I agree with placebo...i dont think killing anything other than things threatening you is a very good thing, but you can do it if you want...just dont be surprised if your Dream characters start to all of a sudden attack you or your subconcious.

      congrats on the lucidity

      Congradulations,

But the thing about killing things in dreams, is when you kill something in a dream you see it for real. It's like it really happend. But it's "not real". This decensitizes you even more then violence on tv would, because you're actually killing something.

Plus, if anyone from your school saw this and took it seriously, you could get in a shit load of trouble for even talking about shooting someone in your school.

personally, i enjoy the things like flying, jumping high, hand to hand combat (sometimes), even sexual experiences too. But i rarely kill anything unless it's an accident (then i resurect it again and apologize)

They may just be dream characters, but they have feelings too ya know

      hehe

Yep - with the exception of nightmare creatures
Even there, talking to it sometimes works
