      First LD, Enjoyable yet disturbing

Hi guys, I'm new here. Last night I had my first LD. I didn't intend on having an LD but I knew what LDs were and I think that's why I was able to recognize it as a dream.

I was sitting with my father on the back porch of his house in the middle of the day when my Dad mentioned that there were TWO unusually large moons in the sky. Realizing I was in a dream I got excited, walked over to my Dad and said something like 'thanks for pointing that out, I've always wanted to have a lucid dream' and something to the effect of saying he wasn't real. I then ran off and started to experiment.

I didn't do anything very remarkable but I did jump up onto the clothes line pole and then proceed to jump higher and higher onto more and more clothes lines poles (weird I know). I also flew a bit, though I wasn't very good at it...

Anyway, the weird part about this is that I remember when I talked to my dad his face suddenly got a terrified look on it and I feel very strange--- like he was a real entity somehow, knew I was dreaming and was terrified that I found out. Has anyone else ever felt like this? It was a very weird feeling. I'd like to have more LDs but that experience has put me off a bit.

Also, how can I improve my control during LDs? Thanks for any replies and I look forward to contributing to this forum!

Don't worry about any faces anyone makes, it wasn't really your dad at all, it was just an image your brain made of your dad

It's tough to bring someone back that never really lived.

For the most part, my DCs usually show fear at my own lucidity, as though they are not supposed to let me become lucid. They usually have a good way to pull me back to the dream, but I've got to the point where I can be conscious even when they are not aware I'm conscious.
