Flying upsidedown

I don't usually post my lucid experiences b/c there are far too many, but I am going to start sharing them as a means to help me better remember them. It began as any other usual nap, how I got to the LD state, I do not know. It always just happens. I found myself in a house...on one end of the house was a rainforest, on the other has a large porch made of dark wood. The house had an amazing view...there was a huge lake in front of the house and beyond the lake there were hills with many houses, some sort of city. I flew off the porch and landed in the driveway that led down to the water. I walked to the waters edge and looked at my reflection. In the reflection I saw that I was growing two huge angelic wings from my arms. After that I flew up into the air and across the lake, over the city which went on for ever and ever. It was so beautiful. Then I turned and flew upsidedown and watched all the houses I was passing over. I suggest trying to fly upsidedown in your next lucid it is really really amazing. After awhile I turned upright and flew up through the clouds, the sun was setting...there were other things in the clouds I was passing by but I cannot remember what they were. I landed in this really cool lounge that was open air on top of some huge mall and overlooked a really vibrantly lit up city (like Las Vegas). The place was very modernistic and I walked around for a bit. I kept struggling the whole time to keep lucid, at times I would lose lucidity and begin to wake...where I would just have to wait through the HI and become lucid again. I was also switching between this flying thing and being inside this really enclosed school building. It was almost as if I were at two places at once and would keep switching between. I noticed that the flying would cause me to lose lucidity if I did it too long, so I would switch back to this classroom, where I would examine doorknobs, my hands, etc. to keep myself lucid, then would switch back to the flying in the clouds. The amount of control I had was stunning. I feel like I could have kept going forever but I didn't want to forget anythying (which usually happens when I have too many LDs in a row) so I made myself wake up and I drew some pictures of myself with my wings. I will scan them in later. Anyway, I doubt anyone read this whole thing...but if you did, cool. Dream on guys. I think I'm finally there. oh yeah: this was the inspiration for my LD (it had to be b/c I watched this little animated short on Friday and I have never thought to grow wings before, but I was flying exactly as he does). Great clip. Very...dreamscapesque. Yeah, every time you try to break free, the Man's gonna slam you back down to the ground. I, too, find it hard to keep concentration during flight. One time though, I flew across my entire city over the river, doing loops and flying upside-down, with no great need for concentration. Maybe I lost lucidity during the flight, then just went along with what was going on in the dream, but it was great. Ciao

I'm jealous...wow. To have that kind of continuity and leverage would be incredible. I'm about 2 months dry for LDs now and this HAS inspired me to a significant degree. Keep posting, I'll keep reading. -Torch

grats nina, glad you are witing some down, can't wait to see the pics Never have flown upside down before though, bet it's invigorating! Keep them comin, gluck
