Within The First 30 Minutes Of Sleep...This Happened...(questions inside)

So I just woke up from the first 30 minutes of sleep.... its 5:30 in the morning...

I am tired, but I am writing this so I don't forget.. I stayed up late to watch a movie (ALIENS). I didn't finish it, I turned it off and just I guess apparently fell asleep right away..... I had checked the clock before going to sleep and it was 4:57..

After falling asleep, I was in a dream with 2 of my good friends, ben and michelle. A lot of talk has been going on about them in real life, on if they are dating or not. Well in the dream We were all sitting around watching a movie and I noticed them getting kind of close...

So I don't know what prompted me to go outside and take the trash out, but I did.. On my way out there, I bump into his REAL LIFE ex girlfriend... She is sitting on a small bench on the side of the driveway.. She asks me..

"Do you know if Ben, and Michelle.. If they are dating?"

I looked at her, and began to answer while turning around...

      "I honestly, really, don't......."

BAM!! My friend Ben is standing right behind me as I was turning around speaking.. Just like in those horror movies.. I was like "Whoa hey, ben!"

My friend Ben ended up grabbing a hold of my arm.. Immediately I responded...

"Ben, Let go of me.. This is a dream..your not going to ruin it for me!"

He didn't let go, He just kept holding on to me, and the more I asked, the more the dream faded...

The dream faded in about 5 seconds.. The 6th second, begin with me in a frantic false awakening, (SP had struck) and me breathing really heavily, and of course...scared... I knew I was dreaming right away

It was dark in my room, I could hardly move, but I was literally stuck in my dream.. No, not because I couldn't move, but because I couldn't wake up..

Even though It was hard for me to move, I still used my head.. I tried to turn on my night stand lamp, but of course its a dream so it didn't work!!

I was standing in my room, still dark, still freaked out and feeling things around me as I was yelling at myself with my hands on my head "DJ WAKE UP!!!! WAKE UP DJ!!!"

Still, I couldn't wake up.. Somehow it changed into another False Awakening.. I knew I was dreaming still and tried for the light switch by the door, which failed.. I tried to go out into the hall way, which failed... I ended up laying in bed hearing myself breathe heavily and strangely... The most weird thing about it all was this....

I kid you not, while laying there in bed (in the false awakened lucid dream) it felt like someone, or something was pulling me toward the foot of my bed.. I felt no physical hands on me or anything, but I could feel myself, and my blanket sliding toward the end of the bed.. like something was pulling us... then.....I woke up

I had to share this experience with you all.. I've had freaky SP experiences before, but there was a bonus.... A LUCID DREAM!!! Looking back at it now, at least I can handle myself under pressure lol...

      Just a few questions

1.) What's the best way to handle SP? In my case, both my huge SP experiences have been very evil based like something is trying to attack me and I literally cant wake up.. I just have to take it.. this time I had little bit of control and tried 3 separate times to do something about it but nothing worked out in the end....

2.) If I find myself in a dream and i have a major case of SP (like tonight) and I am STUCK inside the dream--lucid and yelling for myself to wake up but I cant....what the freak do i do hahahaha

      thank you

I have had reoccuring sleep paralysis for the last 3+ years, and it used to scare me like crazy. It was always worse when I struggled against it though, and now I know that if I just ride it out and don't get scared, then nothing scary will happen (most of the time). However I read some helpful advice on this forum which has helped me get out of SP. What I do is hold my breath, which signals to my body to wake up. I have only done it once, but it worked like a charm and I suggest you try it next time!

      Hey Spirit..

I'm sure you're aware that all kinds of weird sensations happen during SP. The whole evil/oppression thing hits me all the time. I've worked to refuse to let it get to me and to ride it out. It's worked to a great degree, but sometimes even with the firm knowledge of what's going on, the feeling is pretty uncomfortable, and I'd rather wake up than deal with it.

My recommendation is to use your knowledge of SP during SP to start to modify your attitude toward the experience. Try to treat it like a thrill-ride.

That must have been a wild experience. Watching too much scary movies doesn't help, haha.

Longest lucid dream was something over one hour.

for who can know those distant stars? like a life we have not lived, within the twinkle. like a universe we've not known, so far away.
