Thread: First lucid.

So, I just joined this forum yesterday, even though lucid dreaming isn't new to me. And I read somewhere that if you immerse yourself in the subject you have a higher chance of getting one. So I did that for a couple hours last night reading articles and stories and such and sure enough had a lucid dream.

This is a copy/paste from my dream journal.

I was at some sort of party with some friends
at nickys house but it was different. I remember
waking up in the morning and aubrey and I think
stacey are there and nicky. And I'm looking
at a picture on stacey's phone and it's of Bailey
and mike w together in a bed and I find it really
strange. Then I kiss aubrey. Then nicky tells us to leave but I can't
find my shirt. Then he tells me it's behind the couch
and that's when I start to slip into rem.

Lucid !

I start to wake up from my normal dream and go into rem but I recognize it and pull myself back into the dream
world and I'm standing in Nicky's basement
with him and charlie and I start fighting something
and use a kamehameha blast and it looks
amazing. And then the dream starts to end
and I slip out but then my friends are still there
but covered with black bars so I know it's
still a dream so I run to the other edge of the room and
know I must summon a dragon now. And now it's maher
not nicky. I summon one of the coolest
dragons I could think of, a huge sand dragon
that looks like it came straight from
ancient Egypt. Sand envelops my feet, and from the ground rises this
monstrous beast that I'm sure I've never seen a picture of. Then I try to summon one for Maher
but I couldn't picture one and I wake up.

Excuse the names, they're just friends.

The thing that worries me is I don't think I had full control of the dream, because it wasn't as cool as I'd hoped. I was however able to think something and then have it appear in the dream. Maybe I just need better awareness in my dreams.
