      My first LD Experience

Sorry if you have already read this. I got confused with my old account name and started one that I will be using going forward.

So I have only really been researching this for a few weeks and I had my first lucid dream last night. It was pretty cool but only lasted a couple of minutes, at least it seemed like a couple of minutes.

I also have to say I am using the nicoderm patch and my dreams are really out there (which is how I got on the LD subject to begin with).

So it was a little weird. I was able to do a reality check for the first time. It was an incredible stupid check. I opened a door and there was a long plain hallway that got darker as it went. On the ground there was a pig figurine (more like a pig magnet standing up). I remember thinking it was wierd and saying, this has to be a dream. So I shut the door and opened it again and it was a cow with a red christmas light border. So I shut the door again and opened it and it was half the distance to me than before. Right then I knew I was dreaming. What a dumb reality check though.

So at that point I realized that I didn't know what I should do so you guessed it, I decided to float. The weird thing was, I had to jump to float and the first few times I fell to the floor. I finally did get to float for a couple of minutes. Then I went into another room to show someone and for some reason I couldn't do it. I remember saying it was a dream so I can do it but it just wouldn't happen. Anyone know why this would be??? Or just one of those dream things. Maybe my brain playing with me.

Regardless, my wife thinks I am nuts.

I was super excited that I was able to pull it off when I woke up. I think I was more excited that all the stuff I read actually worked. I forgot the spinning though which might have helped because all of these things happened in square plain rooms. No environment at all.

congratulations! to accomplish anything in dreams you need confidence and persistence- sometimes for me things don't appear instantly but take maybe 5 seconds of me trying to make them appear. Practice makes perfect.

yeah my mom used to think I was talking crazy...
