      15 min. + Lucid Dream

I had the longest to date lucid dream so far. It was at least 15 minutes or more. I was actually shocked in my dream about how long it was lasting. I didn't even rub my hands together or use any other techniques.

I haven't been keeping up on my dream journal and my last lucid was probably a month or more ago so I went to bed not expecting to become lucid. My dream ended around 6:30am this morning.

I was at my parents house in a spa making out with one of my friends ex girlfriends. We were both naked and there were other people around us. My mom was pissed because she didn't want that girl at her house because she is a slut. I could hear her in the house complaining about her being a slut and how she wants her to leave. Then I thought to myself "This is way too strange for it to be real, I must be dreaming". I didn't even do a RC. I just knew 100%. So I continued to fool around with this girl. We were having sex. Then I thought...I shouldn't waste my lucid dream on this chick...I can do anything. I took off running and flew down my parents street, zigzagging in and out of trees and chimneys. I was naked when I started running, and then realized I'm fully clothed. My flying ended when I flew straight up. I lost it for some reason. Plus I tried to fly to the moon and that ended my flying as well.

I was on a street and decided to use some powers. A guy was about 20 feet away and I flicked off his hat from where I was standing. Another chick was even further away wearing a skirt and I made a gust of wind blow her skirt up. I was able to move things and push them away (something I have never been able to do before). A car was driving by and I made it crash into a gas station pump about 20 feet from me. It was awesome, so real. It caught on fire and people were panicking running around. I continued to push things out of the way and cause destruction. None of my dream characters even noticed me.

I decided to fly around some more. At this point I was expecting to lose my lucidity or wake up, but no. I was still riding the crest. I flew around for a few minutes, over some neighborhoods and streets. Then I landed in what looked like downtown LA. I saw some chick I knew and flew up to her. My sexual urges kicked in again and I started having sex with her. That is when I lost my lucid. ...should have kept flying or doing something destructive. Either way I'm stoked that I was able to manipulate and use other powers that I haven't been able to before.

Also, congrats on the long dream. My LDs have all been relatively short experiences... perhaps 5 minutes or so. I figure with experience they will grow in duration.

As for powers, I had problems doing anything special because I listened to people who said some things were difficult for them, so I expected them to be difficult as well. Then I learned to lean on DCs once someone noted their immense value in getting what you want out of a dream. Now, I just expect things to happen, and they do

Control isn't an issue, thankfully, but I really need to work on inducing LDs more frequently, and prolonging their length.

Wow!:bravo:, that's what being lucid is all about.

Can I ask how long you've been LDing?

I don't count these as true lucids because they where not very clear, but until I have my first real lucid these will do.)

I was doing it for about two years steady, keeping a journal. During that time I really only had a lucid once every two weeks and they weren't really that long. Maybe about 5 min or less. Then I got really busy with school and life and slacked on my journal. Its been about 7 or 8 months since I've kept up my journal.

This lucid hit me out of nowhere. I didn't even go to bed thinking about dreaming or lucids. I was really tired when I went to bed, so maybe that contributed.

I was just shocked at how long it lasted. I remember thinking to myself during it. "Ok this is going to end soon". But it just kept going. Just like when skipping a stone on water. Every once and a while you get that stone that just seems to keep going when you expect it to stop and sink.

Perhaps your awareness of the length of the dream helped keep you in it. I'm beginning to wonder if it's necessary for some people to periodically "refresh" their LD by stabilizing or simply saying to yourself "Hey, this is a dream."

I tend to get pulled into my LDs and lose them after 5 minutes or so.

Maybe you are right. The fact that I kept saying, "this is a LD and is going to end soon" may have kept my full attention on the dream itself helping it to last longer.

Congrats on your 15 + Lucid Dream!! I've had long LD's in my past; and it always seems that I have to keep asking myself If I am still dreaming, because everything is so detailed--that I almost become in disbelief that it could actually be a dream hahaha

I had a lucid dream last night that lasted like 15 minutes too. It was the best lucid experience yet I really enjoyed it.
