For the past few months, I have not actively been pursuing lucid dreams. But I just had one out-of-the-blue without even trying.

In my dream, I was floating down a river in a boat. I spotted the marquee sign on a storefront just off shore. I couldn't quite place the store's name; I didn't seem to recognize the letters; just the logo seemed familiar (it seemed to be just on the tip of my tongue. In my mind, I figured it was either a Staples office supply store or a Circuit City electronics store.)

But in any case, when I took a second look, the letters appeared to have changed. Within seconds, I acknowledged that I was lucid dreaming. I thought to myself, Ha! I'm having a lucid dream; I can do anything I want!

My first thought was to fly away. But I opted not to. At this point, since I knew I was dreaming, although still in my dreamworld, I fully knew that I was actually just lying in my bed. Had I chosen to fly, in my mind I felt that it would have not seemed real, but more like a daydream instead.

It was interesting, to say the least, that I felt the experience would be tantamount to a mere daydream, yet I was not daydreaming in the least, but was very in-the-moment in my dreamworld.
