Sexual urges in LD!

i apologize if this is a topic that has been covered before. from my various experiences in the past, i seem to remember that often times when i gained lucidity, the first thing i wanted to do was have sex. and i would question myself upon waking, of all wonderful things i could do in a dream, all i want to do is have sex! that got me wondering... i have definitely had experiences that were profound and others that were immediately gratifying. has anyone else experienced these different "tiers" of consciousness within the LD?

I'm gonna be honest, all I ever do when lucid dreaming is have sex. This is partially cuz of these desires you were talking about, and also partially because I have yet to learn how to have that much control in my dream where I could do anything cooler. Anyways, problem is when I start to have sex I wake up.(not sure if I really wake up or if it's a false wake up...)

It happened to me yesterday i was having an amazing LD flying and doing amazing stuff saw a girl and suddenly felt to urge the have sex...woke up trying to undress her for some reason and a lil bit annoyed and horny lol

yeah it sometimes feels like you drop everything the moment you get the urge... i seem to have had three kind of distinct types of lucid dreams: the lesser desires (IE sex) the greater desires (IE flight, things you cant do in real life) the existential epiphany (where neither of the above matters and i entertain thoughts such as "wow, how is this even different from reality?") its almost as if these levels of consciousness are all completely separate from each other. can anyone else find a grouping similar to this in their experiences?

Like when you're high? * at self* Well I don't have any such Lucid experiences to share, but I do notice that whenever I'm about to have sex in a non-lucid dream something always happens to prevent it (). Interesting. In fact, one such dream happened just the night before last.

The best advice I can give is to follow your urges and get it out of your system. Then youll be able to do the things you want to do, not your penis.

I can actually have sex....finish and go on with the dream. I think the trick is to not get to excited. I mean it's fun but you can always do it in real life so I'd rather fly or so something you can only do in your dreams.

yeah it sometimes feels like you drop everything the moment you get the urge... i seem to have had three kind of distinct types of lucid dreams: the lesser desires (IE sex) the greater desires (IE flight, things you cant do in real life) the existential epiphany (where neither of the above matters and i entertain thoughts such as "wow, how is this even different from reality?") its almost as if these levels of consciousness are all completely separate from each other. can anyone else find a grouping similar to this in their experiences? Hmm, interesting. It's really like lucid dreams reflecting either spiritual or fleshly experiences. My cruddy lucid dreams always consist of the same repeated thing. It used to be sexual but now it's running around mindlessly exploring rooms and hallways and flights of stairs. I'm conscious enough to barely know it is a dream, and I seize the opportunity. But I don't know what to do, because my brain seems stupid, so I run. I'm like forest gump, I just keepin runninn. haha. On the other hand, that existential epiphany type of lucid dreams, are not even concerned with sex, and are not mindless. They are wonderful.

Hmm, well, I've only had one true LD so far, and once I realized I could do whatever I wanted, I ran up to my bed to sleep with the chick I just summoned. I have no intention of doing anything different when I become lucid next, except maybe summoning her already naked next time. I feel like when someone reads this they'll think, "Augh, CanceledCzech, what a pig! This guy has no aspiration other than getting his dick wet!" And that's just plain untrue. I simply understand the inexorable force of a 19-year-old's sexual hunger. I also have faith that I'll be able to, as Elwood said, get it out of my system. So, patience, my friend. Just the fact that you know that you can do "anything" you want in lucid dreams, immediately triggers the thoughts of having sex. I always wake up within 20 seconds of sex, and I know I'm going to wake up by I try anyway, lol.

I agree. I have a similar tier in my mind. When I first realized I could actually do anything without consequence in a lucid dream when I was a teenager, I always tried to have sex. It always felt like dry humping... Surprise surprise, that had all I had experienced up to that point. I have had realistic regular sex dreams, but my lucid sex dreams always suck. I don't know why. I have kind of given up on those. I think maybe because my mind is already in that pattern that if I am going to have lucid sex, it's going to feel like dry humping... And, I can't get sex (right now), and I would love to be able to do that in LD's, really. But, whatever! I recently turned into a god and visited my spirit guide's home planet, so I am not complaining!

Yeah, I have that too... hence my first lucid dream last night was me trying to um... do an old crush of mine. Well, my dreams are cruel, because she turned into a wooden mannequin without a head before I had a chance. I kept thinking "This is a dream, I can control it," so she would flick between real and mannequin, but... then my Dad wakes me up in another dream.

I've learned to not have sex in lucids. When I first started, I did do that a bunch. As NightPhlight said, that is one of the first things that comes to mind when you realize that you can do anything. But after a while, you realize that its a waste of time. I mean, its basically masturbation, and there's so much more you could do than artificially pleasure yourself haha. When you really think about that phrase, your train of thought goes something like this:... "I can do anything. Hey, I can have sexWOOHOOOO-" "I can do anything... wait, why am I wasting this on sex?" "I CAN DO ANYTHINGGGG!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAA!" You realize that its such a waste, and go on to do much more interesting things like exploring your subconscious, creating planets, meeting your dream guide, trying to get to the Crossroads, attempting dreamwalking if it suits your fancy, and basically being a Dream God. Ultimate Power. Trancension of ordinary reality. Amazing introspection. Dreams that are more vivid than real life. And then you realize... "What a waste. I could have done so much more." You've got to teach yourself to resist the temptation. I don't even get the tempation any more, it bores me. You will be so much more satisfied with your lucids, my friend. Oh, and... My only realy LD i wasted on sex. I realized i was dreaming, and did the first girl i saw. I guess it was becasue i didnt want the dream to go away and leave my nonlucid, but the girl was ugly as hell, so it was even MORE of a waste. If i was going to use it on sex again, i would at least do something creative with it, like be a girl
