      Talking First Good Lucid Dream!

I had my first lucid dream yesterday, but I was only lucid for a second before I woke up. I had this dream today, and woke up around 5:15am and wrote as much of it down as I could.

Not exactly sure what happened in the beginning, but I was standing in a huge room, like a gym, with lots of windows. All of a sudden I realized, "HOLY SHIT. I'm dreaming!" My breathing got fast and my heart rate sped up, and the room started to shake a bit, so I closed my eyes and said to myself "stay calm, breathe slower," and when I opened my eyes the room was steady again. everything seemed kind of blurry, so I started yelling "More clarity!" like I've read about. For a minute I was worried that the people in the room were going to laugh at me (there were a few people on the other side of the room, they looked like doctors). Everything got sharper for a few seconds, then got blurry again, but I didnt care because at this point I thought of flying. And the second I thought about it, I was in the air, soaring around the room.

I'm not sure what happened then, but next thing I knew I was surrounded by water, still in the same room. And I was making the water shoot up into the air using hand motions to control it. It was really cool actually. A friend of mine walked in and I said "Hey Angela, I'm dreaming! Look what I can do!" and she said "Yeah, I know, it's really cool!" and started doing it too. Then my friend Dave came in and I said the same thing to him, and he was like "pfft, I can do that in real life!"

I got bored of playing with the water. I tried to go to one of my usual dream locations, a gorgeous ocean scene, but all I could do was picture it, then open my eyes and I was in the same room still. The next thought I had was, "Well, I really hope this is a dream" and I ran to the window and jumped out. Im not sure if I went through the glass or shattered it. I fell for a second, then flew up a little bit, then I lost lucidity and got sucked into a completely new dream.

The main thing that is really sticking with me is how strange this all felt. First of all, I felt really hyper, and I couldnt just focus on one thing, my train of thought kept changing.
Secondly, in retrospect, it almost feels as if I was dreaming that I was lucid, but not actually lucid. Does any one understand this?

I think I know what you mean about dreaming that you're lucid instead of actually being lucid. I've had dreams in which I've questioned this as well. Though, it is imperative to remember that a lucid dream is defined as any dream in which you know you are dreaming. So in the dream if at any point you were cognizant of the fact that you were dreaming, it was a lucid dream. Hope this helps.

the only person who can know that is you.
you are the only who can choose about what happened.
did you dream about being lucid?
or did you were really lucid?

That's funny how your friend said, "Pfft, I can do that in real life."
Congratulations! Once your mind expands, you can never go back.
      That water bending sounds fun.

I feel like I have levels of lucidity. Sometimes I know it's a dream in the back of my mind, but I don't really ponder it. Kind of like when you get wrapped up in a movie, and you react emotionally to it, but you know that it's just a movie.

Sometimes I have no question that it's real life.

Sometimes I am fully lucid. This usually happens for me with WILD's.

Yeah, when I told him about it the next day he's was like "yeah, I would definitely say something like that."

I was definitely lucid, even if it was just barely. It's just felt different than I expected. Hopefully I'll get better at it. Does anyone else feel hyper like I did? It felt like I was on some kinda drug and ADHD or something lol.

Sounds awesome. In your next dream I recommend sitting down and just focusing on things including your hands. Then when it become clear stand up (stay calm) and do what you want .
