Experienced Lucid Dreamers: Does this happen to you?

Hey all, I haven't posted here in ages!! Anyway, I've been a somewhat natural lucid dreamer all my life. I feared lucid dreams until just a few years ago, where I began to enjoy them.

Over the past year, I have actually been going lucid a LOT more. I have a lot of weird experiences to share with you all... please let me know if this is normal, or if any of you have experienced some of this?

First off, I've realized that there is passive lucidity - where you know you are lucid and dreaming but you don't stop the dream or do anything but let it just ride out. Sometimes I know I'm dreaming but just let it go on without doing anything. And it's weird - it's like I can't connect my actual mind and thoughts with the dream in these circumstances. (Does that make sense?)

Then there are the times that I'm lucid, and I want to control the dream. So I'll say some type of command in my head, like "open eyes" (if my 'dream eyes' seem to be closed, or I'll think of a place to visit. But as soon as I do this, I get that loud buzzing in my head (which is a bit unpleasant). Sometimes it's enough to make me leave the dream and wake myself up.

Sometimes before going to bed, I'll purposely decide something I want to do in a lucid dream if I find myself in one that night. However, many times once I begin dreaming, I'll actually forget what I wanted to do. I won't even think about it.

Since living in this apartment (the past 2 years), I've had a LOT of weird things happening to me. Sometimes as I'm drifting off to sleep, I'll feel a gentle pat on my comforter. Or I'll hear voices like on a radio show - usually a girl and a guy. (I get a lot of WILD's - where immediately upon falling asleep, I'll be in a lucid dream. It's likely because of my weird sleeping patterns). Once, I found myself lucid lying in bed, and felt someone or something pressing up behind me. I forced myself awake, not knowing what it was.

And... here's the funny thing... in real life, I've been celibate for the last year - by choice, and it's been fine. However, a lot of time when I'm in lucid dream mode, I'll be... super-duper "in the mood" if you get my drift. I'll conjure up random dream characters and have sex with them, if you can believe that! It feels so darn realistic that I've literally had dream orgasms. How weird that I'm so 'randy' in dreams, but not in real life...

And a few times, I've had out of body experiences... the details of these are too complicated to explain here, however.

So does any of this sound familiar, or does this stuff happen to anyone else?

Um... Passive control is something I kind of suggest. Active control sometimes makes me loose control, or horrible things happen.

      Hypnagogia, look it up.

And sex lucids is... for some reason... something a lot of LDers strive for. Personally, I think it is a waste of time.
      Bollocks.

If you didn't consciously make the the decision not to do anything then it's just a low lucidity level where you realize you're dreaming but don't realize you can do other stuff.
Once I dreamed I was late for work and I realized I was dreaming so there was no need to worry and that was it, I didn't occur to me that I could just go somewhere/do something else.

What happens is that your mind is waking up while your body is still asleep, in other words, going back to sleep paralysis. It's normal that you hear buzzing noise, vibration, hear voices and all hallucinations associated with SP.

That's all hallucinations while in Sleep paralysis. it's totally harmless and kinda cool once you know it's all not real and get use to it. see more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis.

Just repressed desires I guess, which would make sense. Sexual energy has to go somwhere. kinda hot too .

Interesting. Yes, I've also lucid dreamed a lot in my life, and some of this sounds familar, like where you mention being only passively lucid. For example, I'll find out that it's a dream, and I'll know it means I have powers, but I still feel obligated to whatever situation I'm currently in.

As far as the buzzing, etc, I agree that it must have to do with sleep paralasis. I've only experienced that type of thing a handful of times. One time I did was when I flew through a mirror in a lucid dream, and it was like a buzz/electric shock. Definately a strange sensation!

You also mentioned hearing radio type conversations. That happened to me at least once also. I was lucid and there was some political talk radio show, and I kept listening to try to figure out who it was. I figured I must have been hearing something from real life within the dream, but strangely when I woke up, I didn't hear radio, tv or anything.
