      Even better than I imagined!

Last night, I had my first lucid dream that lasted longer than a couple of seconds. It was probably 10 minutes in all, so much better than my first two dreams that lasted only 5 seconds or so. To say the least, I was amazed.

When the dream started, I was standing in my back yard. I thought "Wait a minute, last thing I remember, I was in bed, and I was not wearing these clothes..." So I did a reality check, and sure enough, I was dreaming. That in itself it interesting because I'm never that observant in a dream. I could be running from squirrels and shooting aliens and think it was perfectly normal. Anyway, the first thing I did was to discard my glasses, since they made no difference in my vision, and it felt so great to be able to see well without them. I jumped off the ground and floated around about roof level, enjoying the freedom, before realizing that my pants had left me. No wonder it was a little breezy... I tried summoning a pair, but when that didn't work, I decided I'd just have to go inside. When I got to my livingroom, which is open to the second floor, I decided to fly up, but found I couldn't. I failed to grow wings as well, so I ended up taking the stairs. After getting some pants on, some of my friends showed up, and we decided to have dream deul. I lost focus while trying to decide the location, though, and woke up almost immediately. All in all, it was the most incredible, vivid dream I have ever experienced, and I can't wait for another.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

      First experiences

I didnt know there was a name for this..I kinda thought I was mental..but anyway..it started with nightmares as a child..night terrors . I finally decided I would confront the dream , recognize it was a dream and fight back !! It worked most of the time ..but there were times I felt paralyzed in the dream and couldnt run from the monster ..but if I stopped being afraid and said this is a dream..the monster would turn into some little cute muppet thing LOL..Wow my wierdness is really showing now..
Sometimes I would make myself wake up by shaking my body violently and this would wake em and when I woke I could see I was still shaking myself . As an adult, sometimes if i think of it, I will decide what I want to dream about..and in the dream, I can arrange characters and situations to my advantage...heeehheee
      Happy Dreaming
