Im unsure about something (please read experts im freaked!!)

The first lucid attempt i had happened like this.

I was dreaming that i was in some field and i had a jar in my hand and it had some nuclear sign and then i read the label, and soon after i looked at it again and i noticed that the writing had changed and i said to myself "this must be a dream" cuz i rmember reading that if text doesnt isnt static and changes its a way to indicate your dreaming, anyway. At this point, i went into a fading, warping procedure in which i could hear some strange deafening noise and it felt as if i was..being sucked or traveling down somewhere in a type of rollercoaster movement. At this point all i could see was white, and i could hear a looping loud noise and i could hear my thoughts. At this point i started to freak out and i tried to get myself to wake up, and i felt stuck, but i tried to like pull myself out or something and then i felt a variation of that warping/fading/rollercoaster thingo and i awoke.

The second time, which was not to long ago, i felt myself falling asleep, and i was dreaming..conciously..if this makes sense to anyone, its like im dreaming but at the same time im half awake and then i saw some evil face and then i freaked out and said relieved that its only a dream, and then that same fading/warping/rollercoastery procedure occoured again, and again i didnt experience anything and the procedure repeated and i woke up.

My third time, which happened this morning, i was slowly falling asleep and i said just before i was to go into full sleep, i want to have a lucid dream, and at that point the fading/warping/rollercoast procedure happened and then i could see my tv, which is actually infront of me, and i was slowly getting closer and closer and then i could hear my thoughts being spoken to me and i said "say what you want to see" but it was all slow and echoy and i replied to myself i want to see a picture of a ghost, and then that rollercoastery thing happened..and it felt like i was traveling down..and then everything went black, and all of a sudden a picture faded in and it was of a ghost, after a short time i was traveling back into my tv..and then i said something else, which i cant remmeber..and then the rollercoaster/fading whatever thing occoured once again and at this point i could see my arms clenched in fists holding against my chest..and i could feel all this pressure against me, it was like as if i could see out of the dream..and in the dream at the same time except where my body was..it has all blury and white fuzz was all around it. I kept traveling throught that rollercoaster motion..and it repeated a few times..as if i was going up and down..and then i felt everything set back into place..and i woke up.

The question i want to ask is,
      1. Does that sound familiar to anyone..any part of it?
      2. What things am i doing wrong to stay in the dream?
      3. What is that fading/rollercoaster thing i experience all the time, and does that happen to everyone?
      4. Could i actually see out of my dream (is it possible) and does that normally occur.

And could anyone explain anything else i have told you about, because i dont understand much, and i would really like to know.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read all of the above, and if you choose to reply.

      EDIT:

I just read the WILD tutorial and noticed that i had a similar experience to what it describes. I was slowly falling asleep and thinking about my cat, and how it was walking near a highway..i then i was the cat..and i was walking along a fence thing and then all of a sudden that fading/rollercoaster thing happened but all of a sudden stopped and was fully awake.

sounds like Sleep paralysis/WILD/entering the dream phase.

      2. What things am i doing wrong to stay in the dream[/b]
i think MAYBE you go through this process of waking up. usually when people at first get lucid dreams they wake up by the sheer excitement or whatever. Perhaps you got excited and you went through this process of waking up slowly instead of instantly waking up. I have gone through a \"process\" sorta like yours before but not as long or intesnse. just try to stay calm and keep the dream stable at all costs.

      3. What is that fading/rollercoaster thing i experience all the time, and does that happen to everyone?[/b]
most likely sleep paralysis taking effect or wearing off. it happens to everyone. but some/most just dont remember it happens because its very close to the actual sleeping stage and so you're sorta half-sleep.

      4. Could i actually see out of my dream (is it possible) and does that normally occur.

im not sure what you're trying to ask.

you should study WILD more thoroghly. it sounds like this is your way to induce lucid dreams.

Well, try to stay calm, like Nightowl said, but also remember that as you gain experience in LDing it will become easier to stay in a dream longer. Much easier. Just keep working on it.

Now, about the seeing out of dreams thing. I think I understand what you're saying, and the answer is yes. Well, kind of. Most people have had experiences with false awakenings, daydreams and hallucinations. Hallucinations and false awakenings are the two that apply here, since you're obviously not daydreaming. There is a common variety of hallucination that occurs when a person is nearly awake, but hasn't quite left the dream state. Basically, your dreams carry on from the dream world and become hallucinations in the real world. Another variation on this would be 'skimming' reality and coming very close to waking up without leaving a sleep state. This would be a situation where you're in a dream and it fades out momentarily and is replaced by a scene of your true surroundings, which in turn fade back into the dream.

False awakenings are another possibility. This is, in a nutshell, dreaming that you just woke up.
