      My first experience...

      Hi,
First don't look to close to my english, it's not very good. (I'm from France)
I had only one dream of this kind, and it was really funny and very vivid.

I was coming back home with a friend, and then I saw my father and my uncle building a huge indoor/outdoor swimming-pool.
It's not really fantastic for a dream but this fact made me realize that there is no swimming pool at home, so, it is a dream!
And I always wanted to be conscious in my dream to play God, making stuff appear and disappear, then I was ver exited.
I was next to the swimming pool, staring at it and focusing my mind to make it vanish. And I succeed!
I focused my glance once again at the place left by the swimming pool (wich became green lawn) to make it coming back and at this time I felt a force pulling me backward toward a wall behind me. There was a 7/8 years old boy next to me, I was shouting "It's a dream, it's a dream, it's not real, wake up!" as an endeavour to make him realise in wich illusion we were blocked.
And he seemed to understand and he began to be pulled back too!

I woke up before hitting the wall behind.

I would like to know the meaning of this way to wake up. Why being pulled back? Why not simply wake up?

      This night, who knows?

I didn't succeed to have another dream like this.
but I'm still working hard on it.
And maybe next night will be the good one, so I would need your tips!
Would you like to share it?

Some say that by spinning you stimulte the arae of the brain responsible for balance, and that somehow ties in with that which regulates dreaming

Very interesting regarding the spinning... I was wondering what the explanation for that technique was. Sorry.. I don't know the meaning of that dream, but I have had similar experiences of being pulled backwards or in directions that I don't want to go like a magnetic force or gravitational force or something.
