      First lucid dream... Maybe?!?!?

Hi im new here even though i joined a while ago. Well i was really interested in LDing over my winter break but then i stopped practicing recording dreams. So i thought i was going to lose all chance i had about becoming lucid but i was wrong.

Well i went to sleep one night and i had my first lucid dream ever. I think...

It all started around two weeks ago(i think i forgot when it was) when i was dreaming about school. For some reason i went outside of my school and started talking to my friend. For no reason at all i looked at my hands and i noticed that they looked like bird claws. I was like "omfg that can't be happening." Then i realized i was dreaming and i immedietly jumped onto a trash can thinking that i could fly.

At this point in the dream i was extremely excited and jumping all over the place(in my head). It felt like being on a sugar rush. When i jumped on the trash can i was very excited and i thought that i should fly. I started to fly but it was nothing like i thought it was going to be. It was more like an "elevator glitch" (from the cod series if anyone plays that) and it seemed like i was just raising in the air and not moving horizontally.

i Sensed that this wasn't supposed to happen and i thought that i should stabalize my dream so i started to rub my hands. It felt like chalk rubbing chalk so i wanted to investigate my hands. I looked down and they were still bird claws but there seemed to be a dark cloud around my palms. This freaked me out because the claws were there and blood started to appear out of no where.

This is the part where i scared myself so bad that i woke up sweating and breathing very hard.

Sorry for making(hopefully your read it) you read my great wall of text. Hope you enjoyed my first lucid dream/very vivid dream.

Nice job and that was indeed a lucid dream. Remember, the only requirement for a lucid dream, is that the dreamer realizes he was dreaming during the dream. You don't have to have good control in order to have a lucid dream. Flying can be difficult for beginners in the dream world. I think it took me a couple of weeks and several lucids to finally figure out how to fly properly. Your dream may not have been unstabile, it just takes some practice to get the hang of dream control. Again, congrats and good luck in your future efforts!
