Thread: Losing form

I had 3 LDs in one night. The first two were kind of regular, I had good control and lucidity. In the first one it was mostly conversations and stuff like summoning, second I was fighting some thieves..

But the last one was kind of strange. I had like a false awakening in my room and realized I was still dreaming so I started to fly. I fly almost every time I have a LD, but now it was kind of strange because I didn't have any form. I mean, I didn't shape shift (I never did this), I just lost form and kind of became all my surroundings (all the time I could hear beautiful music of Mozart). After this, even the surroundings disappeared, and all I could feel was a flying motion, but there was nothing there, not even me. This lasted for a short time and after this I was back in my room in my bed (still the dream). When I finally woke up I felt a little overwhelmed. It was so beautiful, but overwhelming.
What is this kind of feeling? Does it have a name?

I guess it's related to what LaBerge called becoming a "point of awareness". You don't need a body as such, just awareness.

it sounds like an out of body experience.

i've heard of lucid dreaming and obe being very similar, but i guess i didn't realize how similar until i read that!

it sounds different than most obe's though - mre like a personal spiritual experience.

the way you talk about overwhelming beauty makes me think that...

but i think its up to you to decide what it really was.
