Advice??

My boyfriend and I have been trying to meet in a lucid dream. I know it sounds crazy but we want to really test out what you can do with this. This morning I woke up from a dream, I had asked him a question, which I thought was in my dream, and woke up casue he was mumbling something. I was about to wake him up and right then he woke up and said that I asked him the question out loud, which I had thought was in my dream, and he said the question that I had asked him was the same question he was about to say in his dream. We are really confused, we feel like somehow they could have been merging. I don't even know if it is possible. We have both had lucid dreams before, just no success in meeting. Is it even possible to do as crazy as it sounds??
