      Katsuno's Meditation Workbook

      Hey
I hope you haven't forgotten me yet. Since the last meditation course much has changed...
Sadly it changed to the worse
Somehow I can't keep my mind really focused anymore because my mind is flooded with thoughts and I hope that this course can help me handle it again
Even though I know the techniques I'll start from the beginning again (I need a clean start I guess)
      Looking forward to this course!

Alright, I did void meditation last night (It's been a long time since I did this) and it was really good
I went to bed very late and decided to meditate. I got into the right position and started to get into the right breathing pattern. After about 1 minute I began. At first I "pushed" all the thoughts away because my mind was floating with thoughts. After about 5 minutes my mind was pretty empty and I didn't focus on any thoughts anymore. At some point I opened my eyes (My room was pitch black) and it was pretty nice. My mind was clear even with my eyes open. I enjoyed that feeling and after a couple of minutes I felt like it was enough and I stopped.

      Success!

Tried it again last night but this time I failed...
I just couldn't clear my mind no matter what. I tried it for 15 minutes and then I gave up because it was no use. Don't know why though.

By the way, I'm visiting my relatives for a week now so I don't know if I'm able to get onto a computer. If not then you won't hear from me till next saturday.

So I'm back again and I meditated quite a lot (I couldn't get my hands on a computer so I had nothing to do )
I mostly meditated while lying in the sun and it was pretty nice. I noticed that practicing void meditation while being outside has different effects for me than when doing it at night. I'm much more aware and I notice all the sounds I normally just ignore. I also did some focal meditation and I think that I should change from focusing on my breathing to something different because it's way too easy now. Maybe I'll try visualizing a fruit or something like that...

Sorry but I've been very busy lately and I couldn't find time to meditate. School starts again and I need to sort some things out.
I don't know when I'll find time again but I will post my results for sure!

Finally I could practice some focal meditation
I was at a friends house (sleepover) and when I went to bed I decided to do some focal meditation. At first I counted slowly up to 10 to get into the right mood and to relax a little bit. Then I decided to count down from 20 and relax more and more after every number. So I began counting: "20, I'm relaxing, 19, I'm relaxing..." until 0 and then I was very deeply relaxed and I had no intention to move at all anymore (which is a new experience for me xD). If I would have done this during a wbtb I'm sure that I would have been in sp already. I enjoyed the feeling of deep relaxation and just lay there for a while until I drifted of to sleep.
It was a nice experience after such a long time of doing nothing
