    Tigers // 9/2-3/10

by drewfarr on 09-03-2010 at 11:50 PM
I was walking down a city block among strangers, I was walking with my younger brother.

Suddenly there was a tiger across the street, people were running from it. I backed away, only to notice another tiger (this one albino) just up the street (around the corner) from me. My brother almost barreled right into it. The first tiger wasn't moving, just watching everyone. My brother was backing away slowly from the second. The two tigers went to each other and everyone began to depart as quickly/inconspicuously as possible. I was slowest, and the white tiger began pursuing the crowd again, in a slow, loping manner. I watched it side-long, willing it not to approach me, but it did.

Suddenly it was right in front of me (I was backing away somewhat). A feeling of peace came over me, and I reached out to pet it. I did, and almost immediately it bit my hand. I felt a dull crack and the onset of pain (it felt more like pins and needles). People were screaming. I didn't feel particularly scared, but I was slightly worried I would pass out: my head was feeling very... thick? Full of pressure. The white tiger was just looking at me at this point. The whole situation felt very ambiguous, as far as how it would proceed/end (my dreams usually tend to feel like they're approaching some inevitable close). I passed out and woke up.

There were a lot of events prior to this incident, but I've forgotten them all over the course of the day. I've been getting back into dreams lately, my dream recall has spiked significantly and quickly.
