    Biography:
    I first became interested in spiritual matters around the age of 10. I became involved in exploring alternative religions and dreams in the mid 1960s.

    I attended art school, but got my degrees in English and Folklore. My master's thesis was on linguistic politics in contemporary Gaelic language music and my doctoral dissertation focused on Afro-Cuban religion. I taught in various colleges, was a dean, and after leaving academia was involved for a couple of years in museum education. I am now officially retired, but do some private tutoring and consulting.
