    Getting there!

by gregroberts on 12-08-2010 at 09:04 PM
After almost a whole night's sleep, I woke up from quite a long dream that I recalled almost every moment of. So I quickly grabbed my dream journal as I know I would begin to quickly forget.

After about 10 mins of writing I thought I might as well try to sleep some more even though I felt wide awake, all the more likely to be lucid right?

And what happened!? I attained lucidity for the first intentional time. Now I'm not overly excited as it was a very low awareness level, but I did 3 reality checks, holding my breath, finger through hand, and flicking light switches, the light switches being the only one to confirm I was sleeping.

Now I know my awareness level was very low because I was unable to have any dream control, and was still fearful of the man banging at my home's front door, and on top of all that, had the first false awakening I can recall, obviously meaning I lost all lucidity.

But I'm still excited!!! All downhill from here right?

My lazy ass took too long to wake up and reach for my dream journal that I decided I couldn't even remember enough to try and write out the dream's story line, but I did mark the date of my first intentional fleeting lucid dream.

    Thanks for your help DV!!

    Keytar!

by gregroberts on 12-05-2010 at 09:08 PM
During the dream I could remember what led up to this point, but now I can't!

My memory starts with me going to my mailbox across the street where I found a Keytar on top with "Holy Trinity" (the name of my old high school, grad:2008) written on the back. I figured someone had found it and put it there much like people do with the junkmail and flyers they don't want. I guess I was a little mischievous as I decided "finders keeps" and quickly took it back to my porch to bring in after I got my mail.

Now I'm back at the mailbox ready to get my mail when someone for what ever reason is patrolling my street. As I remember him, he looked alot like Lobo Sebastian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0780957/), an actor from "The Longest Yard". I was in fear he would see the newly stolen keytar on my front porch, maybe a hundred meters away, and punish me in what ever form. We exchange pleasantries and I was in the clear!

Next thing I remember was attempting to insert my key into the mail box (which if I remember correctly was facing perpendicular to what it does in the waking world) and feeling so drunk it took numerous attempts to get it in. This is something I was afraid the Lobo character would see, and although I knew I couldn't get in trouble for, gave me a great deal of stress. I also remember thinking it was going to be hard to work on the project with my friends being as drunk as I was, which must have been the precursor to this dream that I don't recall.

I believe I woke up shortly after this, and as I frequently do, felt very stressed upon awakening.

    Thanks for reading!
