    First time using dream control

by Martinito on 08-15-2016 at 09:12 AM
Recently ive had many lucid dreams far more than usual and now im beginning to control them.
Dream1- It began with a WILD, i wasnt trying to go lucid but by laying there and viewing the images created from the darkness as my eyes are closed i began to understand that I was in my room that was not my actual room in reality. Posters were different and i could tell this was a layout for a house. I currently live in an apartment. My dream signal ive been using is by pushing my hands into one another so i see my fingers go through my left hand. As i did this i became very lucid and everything felt very real. I ran out of my room and was correct on the layout of a house. I went to the door and ran out to find it sunny and incredibly green. I was in a town I had never been before. Then i thought of car to drive and turned around to find one similar to what i had pictured. I opened the door and got into the seat and the vehicle no longer took the form i had seen moments earlier. It was like i entered a bus instead of the 67 mustang i pictured. I remember hitting the accelerator and driving around like a mad man. Hitting cars and benches and getting terrible looks from people all around me. I basically did everything I wanted to do a normal citizen couldnt. At one point i saw many stormy clouds approaching the town putting a gloom over everything. I looked up and said "No I want it to be sunny today." Then waved my hand as if to erase the clouds and they disappeared like magic. Then i got the idea to fly and began trying to desperately fly with no avail. I couldnt even jump higher than i normally could in real life. Then i woke up to find that i had only fallen asleep for 16 minutes when it felt like an hour in my dream.
Dream 2: A different night I had another lucid dream though not as prevelant and a bit hazy. It began it a big city a sort of metropolis one would find in the future. White tall gleaming buildings, clean roads with trees along the streets. I remember seeing one of my friends there and almost forgot i was even dreaming because she seemed like the actual person. I remember having a conversation though i cant recall it. I do remember being lead to a hotel of sorts for college kids my age. As I saw this structure it made me re-realize I must be dreaming and pushed my fingers through my left hand. They went all the way through and my friend looked at me with confusion and asked how i did something like that. I then tried to impress her by showing her i could fly. It didnt happen at first, i just kind of stood there with no lift or anything appearing to be concentrating. Then i remember my feet leaving the ground and i was suddenly floating. I remember smiling and laughing as my friend looked at me with huge eyes,(I definietely embellished my ego a bit). Then she said something like then can you give me a lift somewhere? I thought what if im not strong enough to lift her? I then quickly dismissed this thought as if to kind of suggest to myself that this was a dream and if i could fly then i wouldnt matter how much weight i would have holding me down. First i grabbed her hand and tried to raise myself and her off the ground. Nothing. I then released her hand and stepped back and practiced raising myself and lowering myself off the ground. While floating i let her hold on to my stomach and i was able to raise us both. It was more like hovering than it was flying, It was clumsy but once we were off the ground it was as if she didnt weigh a single thing and i began to realize that any amount of strength could be mustered up by a thought. I remember dropping her off at another hotel. I climbed to the top of the hotel which was very tall. I jumped and tried to at least hover down or really soar but i just fell faster and faster. I knew the jump wouldnt hurt me so I landed on my feet with no pain.
I'm new to this lucid dreaming thing, ive studied how to lucid dream for many years now and have come back and forth. Only recently have I had incredibly surreal lucid dreams that I can not only remember but control. So if you have any tips regarding better control or even interacting with dream characters i would be very interested to hear someone else's opinion on the matter. Thanks for reading!

    Fickle dreaming

by Martinito on 07-12-2013 at 04:49 AM
Right now i'm having trouble lucid dreaming. I dream on a nightly basis atleast one everytime. When it is vivid enough or strange things are happening to me i still do not realize i'm dreaming. I can have vivid dreams where i am controlling the dream or flying but its like im just dreaming of the act without lucid dreaming it into the actual act. Any tips?

    My 1st LD

by Martinito on 07-01-2013 at 06:12 AM
This is my first time posting, but I had a Lucid Dream only one time and what i remember was nothing short of weird.
I was reading a Stephen King book before i went to sleep, and it was getting pretty gruesome. I decide its late and begin to fall asleep. Now i remember my dreams often as I have kept a dream journal. Yet just as i was starting to dream I realized i was dreaming. This made me open up my eyes and what i saw threw me off. I saw the room i was staying but it looked different, and as i was looking around I kept thinking "WOW i did it im Lucid". Yet as i looked about the room I saw the room as if my eyes were made of glass and had cracks through them with no point of origin. I then got excited and stayed in my bed and was trying to think about something to do. My mind immediately went to the gruesome death i just read about. "No! i thought and tried to think of the next thing, which was Zombies at the time. Before i could think of something else I felt this groggy sound behind me and then i hear almost breathing but choking. I knew I could feel a zombie right behind me just waiting for me to turn around. So instead of turning around i closed my eyes even harder and desperately tried to think of this girl i really liked.
Then i woke up completely and turned around to see no zombie, i believe i scared myself awake.
Ever since this has happened i haven't been able to LD again, but i do have vived dreams and i'm starting to do reality checks all the time.
Was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips to become Lucid again and what i should do for a real awesome experience.
