My brothers dad lived in Baxter Springs MO, the boonies sort of xD I want to live there, he has told me about it. It's about an hour or 30mins away (forgot) from Joplin
not to far from Winfield I believe, i dunno if you have heard of it though
and haha I understand about the incest breeding rednecks, I like rednecks, but not the ones huge on incest (or small mindedness) xD at least we aren't in Arkansas ZING. <----sarcastic

Lol Winfield isn't exactly the boonies, but if you go about thirty minutes southwest, you'll find Burden, where I graduated. One gas station, like you mentioned, but personally I don't get along with the incest-breeding-rednecks there. Ok... they're not THAT bad, but I hated going to school there. So one minded. The countryside is beautiful though, had some good times out in another small town, veryyyy small. lol

They have the Walnut Valley Music Festival aka Bluegrass at the fairgrounds here. Pecan Grove is probably my favorite besides the dam. I'll post some pictures soon, been meaning to show off my home town. =D

I just live in the burbs, my dream is to live in a smalll tiny town, where everyone knows eachother, theres one gas station, one general store, etc. Thats ideal for me <3 and these parts in the Midwest are perfect for that, plus, I'm only 20 mins from Kansas anyways, 20 mins from the city, and 30 mins away from small cute towns hahaha, its perfect.

I also have some odd fantasy of always wanting to live in the boonies....small town in Missouri (or Kansas) by the river, causing trouble with friends, etc. Tom Sawyer-esque

and I love Winfield. It's home away from a home I long to forget, somedays.

And in my honest opinion, it's heavenly beauty, in a lot of aspects. It isn't perfect, but the beauty of Kansas and some amazing people all mixed. lol

I haven't been to Winfield before, I don't think, when I was like 5 I would go with my grandpa down to Wichita a lot, so I actually probably did go through it before

and definitely D: most people on here are from California, or the east coast, or in a different country xD I haven't seen anyone else from MO or KS, besides you...let alone any other people from the Midwest....I've only seen a few others even from the states bordering us
