      I have a recurring dream/nightmare.

I'm sure there have been a lot of people that have posted about their recurring nightmare her before but from what I have read it doesn't look as though anyone has them quite as often as I do. And it is exactly the same every single time to the key and I can't figure out how to change it or warp it to what I want to happen, I have absolutely no control over it. It happens mostly every other day.

It switches from first person view to 3rd person perspective and it switches quite a few times. It always starts with me in first person view falling down for a very long period of time at first in a completely pitch black void to where i can't even see my own hands, then a light or something switches on and I go to third person view and it's a completely white void where I can only see my body falling down. Then it suddenly changes to first person view again and I hit what seems to be a completely white floor of some sort. I stand up and it goes back to third person view and I start to look around and at first there is nothing around me and then I blink and go back to first person view and then there is a whole bunch of random shops around. Everything is still basically completely white except the floor and the shops have thin black outlines. I start to wonder around and look at all the shops.(By the way, I can never remember the shop names or what shops they were.)

What seems like hours of me just wondering around I suddenly hear something coming up on me pretty quickly and when it finally gets into focus it ends up being a Velociraptor. I go back to third person view and I start to run and it just continually chases me for what seems like days in my dream and it seems like I am just running circles around the shops but I only run in one direction the entire time, never make and turns or stops the whole time. I never get caught by it and I never get away from it either. It's as if it is chasing me for what as I mentioned before is days and I never change speed or direction of the chase and everything seems to loop.

That's when I usually awake completely drenched in sweat from head to toe shivering and extremely frightened. Everything in the dream/nightmare/whatever it is, is always white including trees except for a black thin outline of it. The only things in the dream that have color are me and the Velociraptor. If anyone can help me with this I will be truly grateful. I am tired of constantly having to wake up from this dream or nightmare or whatever it is.

Thanks for reading this if you did. I hope to hear from someone soon.

The velociraptor is a symbol for a powerful fear you have. Something that probably works with other fears to isolate you and control you. You're probably afraid of something that makes you so paranoid that it scares you away from a lot of other things. For example if someone was terrified of something that they were keeping a secret they might then become so paranoid of people finding out that they then become afraid of other things in a desperate attempt to keep their secret. Like life just surrounds them with fearful situations that just cuts them off from ever enjoying themselves.

The velociraptor is telling you that you need to speak to someone about your fear and sacrifice everything to stand up to it because this fear is isolating you in your waking life.

You being chased by the raptor is a symbol for you avoiding facing the fear it represents.

The strange thing is, is that I'm not even sure what this fear is... I'm not really afraid of many things, and the few that I am afraid of I'm mostly open about them. Could it possibly be a fear that I am consciously not aware of?

Perhaps, you already know what this fear is and the only issue you have now is actually standing up to it. I think the only thing you can really do is to monitor your thoughts. Stay conscious of what you are thinking and why, especially fear.

I had a velociraptor in my dream years ago, and it was something I was aware of. But, knowing what it was wasn't enough. It wasn't until years later than I took a stand and made plans to face it.

But that's my main problem, yet again, I am still not sure what that fear is. I'm very open about all of my fears. The other problem is I don't know how to control my dream and make the outcome my own.

You don't understand. Your dreams are reflections of what you think during the day. If you want to control the outcome of dreams you need to face the problems they are telling you about while you are awake.

If you don't know what you are afraid of all you can do is monitor your thoughts. Pay attention to what you are thinking. When sense fear try to resist it.
