Question I want to get rid of this dream, plz.

I have recurrent dreams of dating/in love with and old friend in high school. He was a good friend but we lost contact after we each went to varsity. The thing is I am happily married with the greatest guy ever and I NEVER think/talk about this old friend. It's weird i keep dreaming of him coz during my awake times i couldn't even care less about this old friend. He wasn't even my boyfriend then. I don't want these dreams. I don't want to be in love/dating this guy if its real life even if he comes crawling. I m happy with my hubby and kids. I just want to loose all these dream. Plz.

I doubt that there's much of a way to rid yourself of these dreams. So, instead of that try talking to him. If you can become lucid within this dream you could try talking to him and ask what it is he wants. Your mind may be telling you something in a way, ask him, find out, and he may go away on his own. c:

If you ask me, you keep going back to that dream because you still have something to learn from it. I would reccomend you consistently remind yourself and set your intention to remember that you're dreaming next time you find yourself in one of these dreams. When you do become lucid, investigate. Perhaps begin by asking him why he keeps showing up in your dreams.

I have never taken any of my dreams seriously much less remember it. But i will surely try...so, if i dream of him again, in this dream, i have to remind myself that it is just a dream. And if that works, i should try and find out why he keeps appearing.. did i get that right? At this point, i will try anything. Thanks!

Many times our subconscious will show us things without telling us the answer. It has a way of giving a puzzle, probably because if it gave any kind of answer we wouldnt be able to make an honest choice about the matter. anyway, i agree with what the other posters have said already. I am curious though, why do you use the word crawling when you say "I don't want to be in love/dating this guy if its real life even if he comes crawling". Just remember not to be threatened by this dream. It is "just a dream" however thats not how your subconscious sees dreams. In my opinion, your subconscious is telling you something and it is tailor made for who you are, therefore no one except for you or a professional with intimate knowledge of your dream life could find a true answer. Answer or not, I would start by exploring your feelings about this person, i have an inkling your subconscious may greatly value whatever interaction you two had. Good luck!
