Hey guys, first time poster here,

I've got some weird recurring dreams I'd like to share.

They started about a year and a half ago and I've been having them intermittently ever since, some weeks I'll have them every night and then sometimes I won't have them for a whole month.

Now, these dreams aren't always exactly the same in what happens in the dreams, but what ties them together for me is the feeling that I get from the dreams. I get this inexplainable feeling, it's like a mixture of dread and anticipation that I find hard to shake even an hour after I've woken up.

Some of the places I visit in these dreams turn out to be places in real life, but I never know that until I visit these places. It's weird when I visit these places and have the realisation because it catches me unexpectedly and completely throws me off with the weirdest feeling, it's like I'm back in the dream.

I'll try and explain these dreams as best as I can from what I remember:

Dream 1:

In this dream I'm always revisiting my high school and it's always either dusk or night-time. I start in the school, walk around for a while not really doing anything much other than taking a look around and then go somewhere on a bus full of other students at the end of this dream. One time in this dream I remember walking around and seeing loads of people huddled in each corridor, all in sleeping bags as if they were homeless or something. I also saw a large military helicopter (British Chinook) land in the football playing grounds surrounded by a small group of soldiers but I've never experienced the dream in this way since so I've never found an explanation for this.

Another time I had this dream, I was walking around and saw a pretty angry looking guy, bald, leather jacket with jeans and white trainers who was carrying a large hammer. He noticed me and started walking towards me aggressively. I tried to run but it was like gravity was holding me down so I could only move really slowly. He eventually caught up with me but I don't remember anything after that point.

Dream 2:

In this dream I walk around in what seems to be a ruined town. The town is fairly rural, in the hills, but it looks like it's been bombed out in a blitzkrieg or something. It's always sunset in this dream. I walk around in this town a lot but nothing too much happens and nobody appears to live there anymore. The only other people I've seen in these dreams are other wanderers but I've never interacted with them before, apart from one guy was slightly mysterious, wearing a old-fashioned pinstripe suit and fedora hat, kind of like a stereotypical 1950s mafia guy.

I don't remember any part of our conversation other than he wanted me to help him do something and I agreed. In this town I also see two old houses where I used to live. It's weird, it's like these house were taken out of my old neighbourhoods in the city and just dropped in this town. The oldest house I've only ever looked inside from the window but it's occupied by somebody else now so I didn't go inside. The other house was my most recent house before my current residence but this was abandoned yet still in good condition.

In this dream, I've actually lived in this house all by myself without my family, going about my daily business and just using an old computer a lot in what was my old bedroom. The back garden looks more like a jungle, really overgrown and full of a lot of junk like litter and old bicycles and stuff that people have thrown away. I visited this house last night in one of my dreams but didn't look around the rest of the town, I spent most of my time in my old bedroom.

Another interesting thing I found was that I actually visited the house of one of my dad's friends in the dream but didn't realise it was his house until I visited the place in real life for the first time a few months ago, that was kind of freaky.

Dream 3:

In this dream (which doesn't occur very frequently) I find myself in a part of the city I live in that I used to walk past a lot to get to college. It's always night time here but unlike the previous town, this place seems to be in good shape and still inhabited by a lot of people. I always find myself with a group of people and we're always sneaking about into people's houses but we never steal anything as far as I can remember. Nothing too eventful happens in these dreams and they don't happen very often, but I still get the feeling that they tie in with the other dreams merely because of that unique feeling I get from all of the dreams that just tells me it's related.

Dream 4:

This dream has only ever occured once but it was pretty powerful. I remember walking down a pier that looked a bit run down, it was full of a lot of other people shopping in the various shops on the pier and I was just walking around not doing much, occasionally walking into a shop without buying anything. However, a few weeks later I realised where I was in that dream after me and my friends went down to the beach one day and walked across the pier there. As soon as I got near I realised this was definitely the same place I dreamed about, the only different thing was that it was daytime in real life and nighttime in the dream. I even approached the pier from the same angle that I had in my dream and I even did the exact same thing of walking around, going into various shops and buying nothing. This dream only occured once but I'm sure it ties in with the rest because, again, I get that unique feeling from it that I described at the start of my post.


So there you have it, these are the dreams that have been recurring for me for a while. I'm sure they must mean something if they keep happening, Dreams 1 & 2 appear to be the most frequent dreams. I'd really like to know exactly how all of these dreams tie in with each other. Are they trying to show me something about myself or trying to show me something that will happen in the future? I really don't know but that feeling I keep getting just tells me they're very important and they're not gonna go away any time soon.
