      Recurring nightmare - please help?

First time Ive ever experienced this was last year November, i was napping on the couch at my parents house it was around 5pm, I knew I was asleep but my consciousness was awake, I could see the whole room nothing has changed and I was trying to wake myself up tried to get up but I couldn't move then I looked down and saw myself sleeping I started to panic and tried to scream but no words would come out then I saw a man standing about 10ft away just looking ahead he had a white shirt and black trousers but i couldnt see his face, I was so freaked out I tried to relax myself then maybe a few minutes later I woke up. Second time was two weeks later I was in my brother's bedroom sleeping then it happened again, I was conscious but asleep and I saw the same man 5ft away from me standing by the doorway looking ahead he was wearing the same clothes but i still couldnt see his face even tho he was so close, I tried to move and scream but couldnt so I tried relaxing again and minutes later I was fully awake got up and slept in my parents room, it was 11pm. Third time was when I moved in to my new flat early this year, My daughter and I fell asleep on the floor and again it happened, i was conscious but asleep I was trying to get up but could not move then I felt someone tugging at me it was a little girl wearing a white dress trying to help me get up she held on to my hand and tugged me but Itook my hand away cus I got scared she had no face just blankness after that I relaxed and woke up a few minutes later i thought it was my daughter at first but when i looked next to me, my daughter was still fast asleep and not wearing a white dress. And yesterday again, I was home alone and this time I was conscious but asleep and there was an older girl standing right next to the bed she was headless. I am so freaked out as they seen to be getting closer and closer??? Anyone please help!! Thanks! I dont take drugs or any medications at all!

I am a bit confused. Did you mean you can't move your body but you could move your head? How did you look down and see yourself?

There are some possibilities of what those could have been.

It could have been sleep paralysis with some hallucinations. One question though: Were you sleeping, then kind of woke up / gained consciousness a bit? And then was it followed by the immobilization and hallucination? I can assure you though, that the man and girls you saw were not real. It's kind of like this: Normally our bodies get paralyzed while we are sleeping. Sometimes, your mind wakes up before your body does, so it is still in that dream-like state while your body's paralysis (called REM atonia) hasn't worn off yet. This can make you see things that are not really there, which might be the case here.

Another possibility is that you had false awakenings. It's when you think you woke up, but it's actually still another dream. The usual setting is the place where you went to sleep, so that could be your bedroom, etc. Those people you saw would have been part of the dream too.

The important thing is that you shouldn't worry because the things you saw were not real, and will not do you harm. The next time it happens, try to calm down and remind yourself they're a part of your imagination. The more you get scared, the more they will get scary. You can even try to change how they look by imagining them changing. Don't panic!

      Hope this helps. Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

From what your story said you're asleep everywhere but your actual room. Sometimes if im asleep in somewhere other then my own room like on the couch/friends house stuff like you said can happen. Try only sleeping in your own bed for a while and see if it continues.
If this dosent help it defentially sounds like sleep paralysis, theres not a whole lot you can do, but remember its all in your mind nothing can hurt/touch you. trying thinking happy thoughts before you go to bed tho. If everytime you go to sleep you thinking and hoping there horrific things wont happen to you you go to sleep with that mind set. Just THINK HAPPY

      Do not watch insidious.

Anyways. I am actually pretty confused. Were you looking down at your body from above? Because that might be AP. If not then it was sleep paralysis. Which seems scary, but think of it as exactly like sleep walking just opposite.
