      Help!

For the last three months every single night I am having a night terror where my father in law covers my mouth so tight I can't breathe and I almost die then he lets go. I need to know what it means and how to stop it. Someone suggested acting it out in real life. Thoughts?

Try sleeping on opposite side of the bed and in different position. Also have a night lamp on and some quiet relaxing music trough the night. Wouldn't recommend recreating it. you might reaffirming it even more in subcounceus.

Use it as a reality check! During the day, cover your nose and mouth and realise that if this were a dream, you'd still be able to breathe. Hopefully, this will carry through into your night terrors - then next time you're being strangled, you can realise that you actually *can* breathe, and you can force yourself to wake up or maybe fight back.

Go to a doctor and ask him to check your blood pressure—people having low blood pressure also see such dreams. So do those people who are anemic or have constant constipation.

      Also do as following

Increase intake of fruit in your food—have lots of apples and tin peaches—peaches which are available in a tin in supermarket. Also have pomegranates and try to have four almonds each day.
Take up yoga exercises-especially yoga breathing exercises will be very good for you. Try to do them early in the morning.
Decrease intake of salt for at least a month—that is if you do not have low blood pressure.
Keep away from television, fast food.
Also see that the room in which you sleep is well ventilated as---lack of oxygen can also cause you to see strange dreams.
At dinner chew your food well so that your digestive system has to work less, un-chewed food can cause lot of stress on the digestive system and as a result you can see weird dreams.
Also try to do volunteer work with especial children, try to find an institution in your area and work with them---after around a week all your problems will be solved--the energy, the strength and the will to live in these special children will change your life.
if all this does not work contact me again and i will recommend a meditation for you--*Link Removed - spellbee2
