Same Night terror shared between me and gf

Hi, I'll start with saying that I have never had a nightmare in my life. Not even the most common varieties like falling, drowning, being chased etc...

Am 27 years old and my whole life I just had standard gibberish nonsencial dreams. No real pattern or setting mostly, just bunch of overlapping random stuff merging all over the place.

Also I would like to mention I consider myself an atheist, pretty straightforward, down to earth kinda guy. Am leading pretty normal life, no stress or dramas, regular sleep routines, decent job, long time gf bla bla blah...

So let's start with 1st accurance.

Me and gf went to bed, as allways she fell asleep before me. It ussually takes me about 20-30min after lying down. It was raining and window was slightly open. We live with 4 cats (don't ask) one of my cats Gizmo went for the balcony trough the window. I have a rule of not letting cats out when it's raining because it's the 8th floor and balcony railling is narrow and slippery. So I sigh, get up and grab the little bugger just as he was trying to squeeze trough the window. I close the window, give him a little pet on the head and I head back to bed.

At that moment I got dizzy and it felt like a low blood preassure hit me, I lost all thoughts for a few seconds and started falling down, and I remember thinking: oh, shit! Shit! Am gonna bang my head on the desk! But I didn't fall, it was like I was suspended in mid fall and veeeeery slowly inching towards the carpet.

At that time alarms in my head started blaring. I was like: whaaat? I knew it wasn't right but it took me by suprise too fast for me to react. My room looked exactly like it does, my gf was normally sleeping in the bed across the other side room.

Then it escalated and it escalated fast as f*** whoosh! and I was sucked under the table. A terrible horrifying presence was there. I could feel only pure dread. Normally I started screaming and yelling for my girlfriend's to come and help me.

But nooooo guess what? I had no voice, I couldn't produce not a sound whatsoever not even a peep. All of the sudden with incredible speed the invisible force dragged me from under the table straight to the ceiling. It dangled me arround like a ragdoll. I felt pain in the chest area as if am being hugged to death by an invisible bodybuilding tentacle.

At that moment my gf shaked me hard and woke me up. I was lying on my back safely in my bed, she told me I was sobbing and shaking in my sleep...

      2nd Encounter
It happened on the same night but not to me but to her. After she woke me up I told her all about my expirience in detail while memory was fresh and vivid.

After about half an hour we calmed down and went back to sleep it was about 3:30AM. It was me this time who was awaking by her moaning and treshing in sleep I quickly shaked her out of it.

She looked vissibly disturbed and was crying, took her some time to get herself together. She told me what she dreamt. Although her memory of the expirience seemed to fade a lot faster than mine.

She described we were sleeping in bed when she felt a massive dark and evil presence (her words) and a loud crescendo of cachophonic rattling and banging. It felt to her like it was getting louder and louder to the point of becoming unbearable. It felt to her as if the pressence was coming closer.

She told me that in the dream it sounded like someone was demolishing our kitchen and that windows and blinds of our room shaked and rattled. The way she described the presence and the feeling of complete dread that emanated from it sounded the same as my expirience.

Also, our room looked realistic and she didn't knew she had fallen asleep.

      3rd encounter

It hapenned last night about 2 weeks after the first one. I was entering my room when I saw a red plastic food bowl that my cats use shattered on the floor. A strange deja vu feeling washed over me. I asked her, what happened to the bowl? She just said she doesn't know and she didn't touch it.

Next to my bedroom door there is a small walk in closet after picking up the broken plastic and on my way to the kitchen I noticed the closet door also looked broken as if someone tore them from the hinges.

As I came closer to inspect, a blast came from the ceiling and it hit me with incredible speed and dragged me across the long hallway to the other bethroom where it shoved me on the floor and pressed me against the footing of the sofa.

This time there was not even a nanosecond of warning, no build up, no ominous presence, nothing. I felt like the invisible f***** is simply trying to murder me.

And ad course I scream and kick but I barely manage to let out a dry rasp. In that moment a thought accured to me. After first 2 encounter I read about on the net about other people expiriences, lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis and whatnot. One of the advices I manged to recall was that I need to calm down and stopped panicking.

I tried to see what was attacking me. And what I saw was 2 thin black hands, cut at the elbows emerging from tin air.

At that moment gf woke me up because I was kicking and trashing in the bed. Again I told her and described the nightmare in detail. I light up a cigarette to calm myself down.

It was 3:20AM at that time, I was just about finished smoking when loud banging started. At first I thought it sounded like a loundry machine going bersek like during centrifuge. Girlfriend started panicking and screaming that it's what she heard in the dream and yelling at me turn on rhe lights.

Now I must empheaize that this part was not a dream we were both awake. I turned the lights on and all 4 cats came rushing to the room looking freaked as hell. The banging countinued I went to the bathroom and it sounded like it was coming from behind the wall not like it's our apartment.

It continued on for about a minute when it suddenly just stopped. I was having trouble calming her down. Because she was frightened to the point of being histerical. I was making shit up at that point saying that it's just a pipe or something that burst in the wall somewhere in the building or that it's a draft.
I don't know what that banging was, never before had I heard anything like it before in my apartment.

      So... My theory is this:
There is a poltergeist trying to horribly murder us. Am jokiing
I think that after my first experience when I told her abou the dream in detail, her subcounceus took over and made a simmilar nightmare. And banging after my second expirience was just a freak coincidence. Some installations in the building or something I don't know...

My girlfriends theory is that's my recently deceissed mother being angry we didn't went to her grave not once after the funeral. As I said am an atheist and thought of being 5feet away from my mother's decomposing corpse isn't an alluring idea. And besides that hellspawn poltergeist fucker didn't feel like mom to me.

If the nigtmare happens again I will update.

i had the same exact experience only difference it didnt have hand, just elbow, apparently its hands were cut or something along that line.i really saw it just before waking up and now realized this entity is weak since it cant grab me.animals do see, hear, feel frequency spectrum which are unavailable to humans with out aid.

How did it make you feel? you being an atheist,is your GF an atheist too?

      keep us update.
Sleep on your right side or on your Back and Make nightmares a thing of the Past.
On your side. Sleeping laterally is the most common sleep position. Studies have found that right-side sleepers experienced more positive dreams and fewer nightmares than left-side sleepers

what you experienced is dream paralysis. Dream paralysis is a very bitter experience to go through; you can have different experience when you are going through it---during dream paralysis you feel nub, lethargic and paralyses, you can hear strange and frightening voices and see things which are horrible.

Why do you go through sleep paralysis no one knows why? Is there a cure? No there is no cure.

The best way to deal with sleep paralysis is to read a lot about it. The more you will know about it the more you will be able to deal with it.

Increase intake of fruit have lot of apples, canned peaches are excellent for those who have sleep paralysis. Train yourself to relax during experience of dream paralysis no harm will come to you. Tell yourself all this is in your mind.

Also take up yoga, yoga breathing exercises will be excellent for you.

Daily have two dates and if you are not allergic to nuts have four to five almonds daily. Hope my advice will help you. *Link removed - spellbee2*
