      Waking yourself up

I have had two dreams in the past night that caused me to physically roll over and wake myself up. The first I was about to be attacked by a bear and the second a shark. What do you think these dreams mean? I am assuming I'm not the only one. They are unusual for me but I find it curious being shocked awake and not necessarily even being scared.

If you learn the right technique scenarios like that will cause lucidity. What you need to do is, any time you see a nightmare creature in a dream, beam pure love at it - run or fly toward it to hug it and tell it you love it, and you have to really mean it. Practice it while awake, picture your typical nightmare creatures and react like this rather than running or freaking out. They'll change from attackers into helpers and will help you toward better lucidity.
