Thread: Crystals Of Death

Well i had this nightmare yesterday and it kinda freaked me out.

The dream began with me in the livingroom watching TV( which is why it didnt occur to me i was dreaming ). I heard some shouting from outside and so went out to investigate, the sight was amazing!

From about 10 metres down my road, to right into the distance, was like a forest of green crystals. It's hard to descrive really, they made random shapes and there were odd spires of them dotted around to, like a sea of crystal. There were also shades of blue crystal and a tiny amount of purple, though mainly green. Around 20 people from my neighbourhood were standing at the edge of this new crystal structure and some were poking it and rubbing it. Some children had started climbing into it as well.

I stood there for around three minutes just taking in the beauty, as was everyone else, then i had to go and touch it for myself. It felt so smooth, plain yet lovely. Suddenly a child screamed and others began to as well. A small girl who had ventured furthur into the crystals was crying ans desperatly trying to climber back to us. After around 20 seconds she fell limp on the crystals, as did all the other children.

People around me started screaming, some ran away, some tried running on to the crystals to get their childrens bodies. All this time my hand was still on a piece of crystal, i took it off and looked at it. Where the crystal had touched me was a severe red burn. It didn't hurt but i could tell it was ment to be( no pain in dremas but it was for the DCs). I looked around and realised the crystals were slowly spreading, it was like anything they touched slowly turned into more green crystal.

As i walked down the street i saw bodies lieing everywhere, even where there was no crystal yet. Some seemed burnt as well, especially around the facial features, it was as if some gas or radiation poisoning had rapidly killed them. At this point i was very scared and had no idea what to do. I was staring at all the bodies when a small girl ran up to me crying, she didn't seem very burnt but she grabbed me and then ran away down the street, leaving me. At that moment i heard a horrible high pitched noise( it really hurt my ears). I turned to look into the solid crystal "sea" and saw that a storm had developed over it. The lightening was purple,blue and green, like the crystals, but something bright was coming through the clouds. I stared in wonder as a huge purplish ring like object passed through the clouds. For a minute it just floated in the sky but it suddenly let out a lower pitched noise if you have seen "war of the worlds" it was that exact noise those tripods made. The edge of the ring lit up after this and the higher pitched noise began again, it god higher and higher as the ring ship object got brighter and brighter. After about 15 seconds the noise reached its peak, there was silence, and the ring let down a huge beam of light( with which the hih pitched sound came down with). The beam hit somewhere in the dense crystal sea and caused a huge shockwave. I felt the rush of wind and then saw the rate of crystal growth cover the entire street in seconds, it ended with a white light absorbing me as the crystal sea covered me.

This dream, although not exactly scary, was quite eye opening and very unusual for me. Just thought i'd post this to give people a read into my subconsious
