      Demon in my house nightmare

Hi, I am new to this, but I am very creeped out. I am having serious financial problems with no end in sight, I feel guilt because I am responsible for my elderly mother's finances and have made a mess out of them. I am ashamed to tell her because she trusts me. No, I have not used her money for personal use, I just took too much responsibility on for someone who does not handle money well. I feel tremendous guilt for this and I have chosen not to tell her until I get it straightened out on my own. Any how, I think that my nightmares might be a result of this. I am dreaming of demons. Last night in my dream, my mother and I both decided that we had a demon in our house. In the dream we thought that this was why we are having so many problems. In the dream, I see the demon, but it is just a big pink blob floating on the ceiling. In fact, the other night, when I was awake, I was alone in our living room and when I walked into the dark kitchen I actually thought I saw something floating on the ceiling. This even was not a dream. I am terrified, am I really being taken over by demons, or is this just stress? Any advice Any comments would be helpful. My family would think I am crazy if I told them this. Thank you.

I believe the large amount of stress and guilt 1.) has caused to to have nightmares and 2.) is causing you to have hallucinations. My advice would be to get some professional financial advisement to help lessen your stress so you can get a better night's sleep. The good news is, I don't believe they were demons.

Whenever I have listened to people talking about scary spirits in their house or childhood memories thereof I have always asked them to personify the demon. Every time the demon has been male and every time aged about 40. For some it is a way of coping with the scary part of their Father or other significant male - i.e. it's too scary to believe that father can be like that (sometimes) so it must therefore been the ghoulie under the stairs or whatever.

I wonder if you're experiencing the same. You done something wrong and you're worried that you'll be on the receiving side of someone's anger - perhaps not in reality but the feeling of doing something wrong will evoke feelings from childhood when you've done the same. You're accounts of hiding your actions from your mother suggest that you're hiding them perhaps from everyone and there will surely be a worry of being found out - and the demon will get you.

So yes, as OpheliaBlue says, it sounds entirely linked to your situation in real life and I too don't believe it's physically real. But the point is, it's real to you and will possibly stay around until you have some sort of closure on the issue whether financial or psychological. Usually it helps to talk as you are doing here, because when you see that other people aren't scared and know that you're an OK person then you'll find things become OK too.

      Thanks for replying

Thanks both of you so much. I too believe that my deception is taking over. Is it possible that "I" represent the demon in my dream? I know that I am not evil, but I hate this situation so much. I feel that the demon in my dream was male. Yes, I am more afraid of everyone in my family finding out that I screwed up than anything else. The financial part can be taken care of . I am the youngest of five children and for some reason they all seem to think of me as honest and helpful. I do feel resentment toward my siblings for not helping and giving me a hand. I know this is not their fault, but still... Thanks again. I am still afraid to sleep tonight though!

Everything in your dream is you.
