Has anyone had any success in escaping from circular dream space without teleporting away into an entirely different dream scene? By circular dream space, I mean where you leave one room or area only to find yourself entering a slightly rearranged copy of the same room/area. As if the three dimensions of space itself were looping back in on themselves. I've had to face this in dreams before, and being lucid doesn't make it any less unpleasant. It happened again early this morning.

I became fully lucid after seeing a group of people with ridiculously stilt-like arms and legs passing by. I then found myself inside of a giant metal figure much like the Collosus of Rhodes, kept trapped there by all sorts of shiny metal blades and gears. But I escaped by sabotaging one of it's components so that it short-circuited and wrecked a lot of stuff. After which I started away across a barren landscape.

But in that instant, I saw that the barren landscape was just a projection on a screen in front of me. And that the giant collosus of rhodes was just a much smaller metal thing which was keeping my head clamped into place.

I pulled myself out of the metal thing, and saw that I was in a long narrow lecture hall, with no people in sight. To the left was an office door, slightly ajar, with a light inside. To the right was a door that looked like an exit. I went for the exit.

Through the exit, it was dark like night, and looked like well-tended grounds with paved walkways. But after going a short distance, my eyes adjusted to the darkness. And I noticed I could not see the sky, and that I was in what looked like a dimly lit Bar & Grill type restaurant. The few patrons who noticed me didn't seem to care at all, except for one girl who was slightly tallish, who walked up to within a foot of me and glared directly down at me in a not so friendly fashion, then walked away.

I tried to leave that restaurant, but leaving through the door just brought me back into a slightly rearranged version of the same place, entering from a different direction. I repeated that several times before I woke up. I could have teleported away, but since it was a new dream scene I wasn't so eager to dispose of it entirely. Just trying to find the outside.
