      I died in a dream..

For the first time in my life last night.... There have been plenty of dreams where I fall down really far, then get scared right before I hit the ground and wake up, or ALMOST die in some other way but then wake up right before it actually happens, but this was different.. Just a side note, I don't know how to control my dreams, I'm sort of just along for the ride when I dream.

I was on the 14th floor of an apartment building, and someone had set up a bomb on the 1st floor that was going to take down the whole building. Everyone was running out screaming, just like you would expect them to be; however, there were these two guys that would not let me leave, they sort of reminded me of the mafia type. Well they left but I couldn't. So I just stood there in the room, and after a while, probably 15-20 minutes, I forgot what was coming. I went to take a bite of a taco that I had(Cheesy Gordita Crunch from Taco Bell to be exact) and I heard a boom that shook everything. I then remembered what was happening. I was as calm as possible, I didn't panic at all. I put the taco down, didn't bother to chew the last bite, turned around and I laid down in the dream EXACTLY the way I was sleeping(I noticed this later when I woke up). The place was falling, and I had the feeling of falling, then when it hit the ground my vision stopped. My whole body was like vibrating, almost like being high(No I am not a pot head, I have tried it twice when I was 16, and 17) and all I could see was this image of the last thing my eyes saw, but it was frozen and black and white sort of like a Game Over screen that you see in video games. It stayed like this for a while and the feeling in my body stayed too... Then my vision started to evaporate, the picture that was stuck in my eyes of the rubble and dust started to dissapear. And when it was completely gone and my eyes were totally blank, I woke up to my heart beating faster then I could ever possibly remember. I've had some crazy/exciting things happen to me, and I've played in a lot of sports, but my heart has never, ever been even remotely close to beating that fast. I was certain that if I were older(22), I would have had a heart attack.

There was a bit more to the dream, but it was the first time that I've woken up to being legitmately frightended, I suppose just because I've always heard that if you die in your sleep, you die in real life... I can't stop thinking about it and what it means... Sorry if this isn't the proper format or whatever for you guys, I just needed to get it out somewhere.

Weird. I'm usually somewhat invincible in my dreams. I remember falling from cliffs and bouncing and not getting hurt. Just last week I was shot 5 times. I could even feel the bullet wounds.. but nothing happened. I didn't even wake up, but I did in fact have that same vibrating thing and blackness. But like I said, nothing really happened. Just like 3 minutes later of blackness I'd awake from it, in my dreams.

I've died in my dreams a number of times, it has always been a very peaceful and relaxing experience.

I suggest that anyone who fears death use their lucid dreaming abilities to explore it. It can be interesting.

Being that it's a given that you will die eventually, I don't see how dreaming about it will increase the likelihood of it.

I've died a few times in my dreams, and it wasn't too bad. I just woke up afterward.

I died this morning by drowning, in a dream.

I was resuscitated shortly after. Well, now all the fun is spoiled!.. heh..
