Thread: Reccuring theme in different dreams... involving my pet rat!

Since joining this forum I have remembered several dreams each night, ever night from joining. I think that having dreams on your mind helps you recall dreams! But I've notice that I keep having dreams that involve my pet rat! It's usually a side story to the main dream but it's always about me trying to find a box or cage to put Monty my rat in. He's always out and about in dreams and I always have the urge to put him in a container so he doesn't get lost and killed. But I really struggle to find a container and when I do Monty does his best to escape it, sometimes he looks like he's hurting himself to get out so I have to put him on my shoulder again. It's probably not important, but I am curious as to why I keep dreaming about him in this way. It can't be quite as literal as it seems, as hes fine in his cage in real life and would never run away from me as he prefers to be close to me. One thing that could mean something, I have been having these dreams since Sebastian (my other pet rat) died and he hated being in his cage towards the end. Maybe it's my fear of Monty dying in the same way as Sebastian, hence it adversion to staying in his container in the dream.

Any thoughts?
