If you were a Masochist wouldn't Hell be a reward?

      Interesting question.

That's like saying "if you like food, would people feeding you until your stomach literally is about to rip be a reward?" "

If you were a masochist, hell would be heaven, and thus hell really isn't an issue for them.]

But I don't take pleasure in hurting myself, I guess I'm really gonna hate hell then.

Depends what you think Hell is.
If it's just pain and discomfort, then you can easily discomfort a masochist with intense boredom and refusing to cause pain. Think chinese water torture, I doubt a masochist would enjoy that.

Personally I don't believe that some horrible Hell exists at all, and personally believe it was a creation of the political and religious system to pull people into line with fear.

      Masochist

I think in reality hell is his home, he is already there. And desires others to join him there...

Read the play No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre. That'll tickle your fancy, asking questions like this! Honestly, you'll really enjoy it.

...which brings us to the question, "If people think life is hell, and they kill themselves, and go to hell, wouldn't they just come back to life?"

      In hell

I think that the subtle things which people can hide behind are striped away, and they have no place to hide their true selves.

I think that if Hell does exist, it's probably more personal than "Fire and Brimstone" and that whole general personification of Hell. If a Masochist went to Hell, with my opinion of what Hell is, torture would probably be replaced by a position of infinite power, and no one to dish out pain to the masochistic damned. Lol.

I think the better question would be- If people thought this was hell, then wouldn't that mean they were dead?
