Unfortunately, no, evolution would have no such thing.

If anything, evolution would have our legs become prehensile, our lung capacity genetically diminish, etc.

Evolution would no more have us become automobiles than it would have fish become airplanes.

The theory of evolution has been pretty firmly established as fact in the scientific community. Your examples of the "joke" of evolution have only shown that you know nothing about the topic. The first example of the cars shows you have no comprehension of selective pressures involved in evolution - a trait has to be useful to the survival of an organism for it to be passed on. Evolution is not the accumulation of traits that are used within an organisms lifetime (that is lamarckism, and has been discredited for quite a while). And all that is besides the point, turn signals are a part of the car not us... are you sure that wasn't a joke?

The main effect that having cars has on our evolution (discounting the possible effects of co2 emissions) is to remove any sort of selective pressures from anything movement related. Humans don't need to be good at getting around manually to survive long enough to reproduce. The example kim gave of general lung capacity being diminished is correct, but not because we aren't using our lungs as much - because having a small lung capacity doesn't matter in a world with cars, hence it will be passed on more frequently.

The 2nd example makes no sense. What has losing a tail got to do with anything? And if we didn't lose a tail, ask yourself how people are sometimes born with tails.

So if evolution is a "joke", a) come up with better examples illustrating this and B) give some sort of alternate theory.

according to science, evolution is a way of adapting to society. If the atmosphere were4 feet tall (yeah right) then we would have to crawl around on our hands and knees to get around. After a number of generations, the ability to crawl would be less uncomfortable and we would start to adapt to toe envornoment.

If we has teleknetic powers and never used out hands.... for anything... pretty soon they would dissapear....

To try and answer all questions asked I would say that I believe in Intelligent Design. You will be hearing more about that in the near future. I do not cater to an Intelligent Design religion necessarily but do believe in an intelligent designer. Evolution implies that necessity is the mother of creation. You said it so your self in that if a larger lung was not needed a smaller one would be the result or crawling required necessity would come to the rescue. Last time I made a left hand turn with my truck I thought I felt my left temple and eye starting to wink. It would just be my luck if I did start to sprout a turn signal then the right side would blink instead.

If you believe in an intelligent designer you believe in intelligent design. You don't necessarily have to believe in the pseudo-scientific bullshit going on in america right now, but theological Intelligent design is still intelligent design.

And you don't listen do you, necessity is not what drives something to evolve. If a larger lung was not needed then the selective pressures on lungs would not exist, hence smaller lung genes could/would get passed on more frequently. It does not mean that people would arbitrarily be born with smaller lungs.

You should really ditch t turn signal example, you winking when you make a turn is a habit - habits are not passed on to the next generation (genetically). And by the way, evolution never has an organism "sprouting" anything, evolution is only something seen across (many) generations.

So would you like to say what, exactly, it is with evolution you have a problem with?

Actually I don’t have a problem with evolution. It is possible that a creator created everything as we know it and evolution is a part of it. It’s just the people that talk about the big bang and evolution as if they appeared out of nothing like magic with no creator. I think they are the ones that have a problem.

I think you can mix science with religion, but it probably would still remain as theories until death --- maybe.
