According to the Dictionary definition, a lot of people are Philosophers. Some more than others, but in short, aren't we all Philosophers?
Logically, not.
Words are meant to signify distinctions. As soon as Everything is Something, then the distinction is lost. Therefore it is when we list the attributes of anything, we can forego saying that it exists, as it is understood. Primitive people do not even have such a word -- a word that means 'exists' since it is something of a useless word to have. After all, when does one ever have to point to anything that does not exist. It is not as though we will ever have to make a choice on the street between an Object A that Exists, and an Object B, sitting next to it, that doesn't Exist.
So, if suddenly all men were Philosophers, then how would we then designate any studied person who had a particular love of Wisdom. Well, we could not say Philosopher anymore, because EVERYBODY is one of those. We would be stuck with making up a new word for it.
It reminds me of the old philosophical argument against a ubiquitous all encompassing God -- that if Everything is God then Nothing is God. If Everything is Special then Nothing is Special. Words and Concepts only have actual meaning as they Distinguish and Separate. Differentials pinpoint. Integrations defuse.
For instance, it is an integration to say that "every animal is a bit of a pussy cat". Well, yes. But if we had to locate a particular species in the Indonesian Rain Forests, to suggest pussy cat would be of little help.
So, anyway, yes, at that level where we have decided that all words might as well be meaningless and we should all start grunting like monkeys for all the good actual communication might do us, then, yes, we are ALL of us Philosophers.
