How do we know that a simple stone is only worthless piece of tiny particles glued together?
Maybe in some way, not known to us yet, it records a valuble information like a CD. If a flat little DC can storage such a wealth of data, what about a huge stone by a road. It can maintain inside lots of information from the past, i.e. people coming by it, events that happend nearby...
The notion of animate and inanimate things is still very relative.
      I'm tired being sorry.

There is a name for this...damnit what is it....?

Uhm......it's when someone is supposedly able to get "telepathic" information from inanimate objects, like rocks, and pick up the vibes of all the energy that has interacted with it, in the past. Damnit, I can't think of the name. It was like "telometry" or "telegraphy," or something I dunno. But yeah. It's an interesting concept and, if Bohm's holographic theory of the universe is true, highly probable.

In a way, if you could arrange the atoms in a stone, you could make it a 203920 terrabite hard-disk. (really hard, haha).

Besides that, a stone can have a mind, but only in some other demention or way that we see it in. Maybe the exact way the atoms in the rock react to each other is the same thing as neurons in our brains interacting. Who knows. Everything is possible.

Maybe it (a stone) lacks only a propriate receiver to play out the information hidden in it.
A CD is also a useless piece of plastic when you're devoided of a DC Player of any kind. What the good of a CD would have had the medieval people if they had found it by the road? Without electric current, not to mention a CD Player? The face value of it would have been only to sell it as a mirror or a decoration...

Yeah they Do serve as decoration indeed

Well if you had a stone-translater, you could translate the positions of the atoms of the stone to millions of random numbers and or things

Never heard of it, never thought about it myself - but I like the idea .. even though it leads to nothing, like anything.
